Secondary skills are becoming increasingly more important....a lot of player builds top heavy in critical skills now have work to do because balanced builds have an advantage.

good for us

I think those folks will not like playing the Houston Orangebloods.

You seem to be high on realism but appear to have no problem with power backs now routinely running over people for 150+ yards a game. Few rb's have ever run for 2000+ yards a season and this league alone should have several.

The tackling changes were as poorly thought out as the new offensive ai that doesn't allow you to set formations.

Well I'm damn sure not going to sit on my ass and not try to win regardless of what I may think about what Bort is doing every off-season.

Do I necessarily think it's right? No. But am I gonna sit and cry about it and refuse to adapt? Hell no.

As usual you misquoted and ran off into your own little world.

He said he wants realism and there is nothing realistic about the run game changes.

And who the hell is crying?

I'd tend to agree with you. I think what bothers some people is that you will be doing things one way and then it gets changed or nerfed.

I know it aggravates some, but the changes are cutting out the abuse. Also making it more realistic. A guy who has 85 speed and everything else meager should be a track star. However, if you then give him the ability to move laterally and catch passes then he becomes a good football player. That's what most of the build changes are all about.

Speed still kills as it should.

What is this abuse you speak of? People building their players the way they want instead of the way you want them to?

Quit making assumptions of things I say. It is quite annoying and childish. If someone wants to put all their points in one attribute, let them be excellent in that attribute. However, I don't want to hear them bitch about them not doing well because they have poor attributes else where holding them back.

So you didn't say you like the changes because it's more realistic? Seems like you did right there.

Good job of interjecting yourself into a conversation that didn't even involve you until your meaningless post.

Making other attributes important is realistic. Having a running back with 80 speed is great for running in straight lines, but he should have higher ratings in vision, agility and carrying to actually be a running back instead of a sprinter. I don't know if you have ever played before, but you can't be successful with pure speed. You need strength, agility, vision, and awareness.

The changes have not made the game more realistic, just shifted the balance of power to another area. BTW, speed is and always will be king.

I agree but this isn't the way the game is right now. Any offensive player with stacked strength is a god right now. When a level 16 power back with 85 strength and nothing else above 30 can run over entire teams several levels higher there is a problem.

Giving defenses the ability to mix up coverages and blitzes was great, but without the ability to set offensive formations it sucks. The biggest need in the game right now is offensive formations imo. It's difficult as an oc right now to punish teams that blitz a lot and that would change with formation selection.

Oh how much fun I could have with the ability to select formations. . . . .

The other thing I'd REALLY like to see them do on offense is come up with a HB1, HB2, and HB3 setting at depth chart like the do WRs and CBs. And then let us set the primary back as HB1, 2, or 3 based on the game situation. This would allow teams to have an elusive and power back and designate when they came in the game. That would be greatness.
