Avalanche over Dream Team

The BCS somehow has IDT by 3 over Avalanche, but after looking over both teams I believe the Avalanche can pull the upset. Both teams have a high number of inactives, and some for a while now, meaning unassigned SP sitting there. IDT O-line is, really bad at OT and Avalanche has a monster DE, he'll be in the backfield early and often. IDT also has a monster in the backfield but no one to run behind, he may break a few good runs but it won't be his best day. The Avalanche O-line isn't must better but IDT lacks a serious pass rusher. The Avalanche also have a strong QB and serviceable WR corp, combine with the lack of secondary depth on IDT's side and a few inactives, the Avalanche should pass and pass often. Avalanche by 17 or more.

Called that one!!

And he BARELY got that one right...

Good job to the slashers though...they did put up 10 on us...way to keep fighting...keep working at it, soon you'll be more competitive..just don't get frustrated.

With RPG's blessing, here is Week 2:

Dublin Boghoppers over Canterbury Crimson Crusaders
The Boghoppers got a bye last week and won as expected. They are a solid team on offense and should be able to get a few yards on CCC. The newbies CCC also have a top notch offense but disappointed in the opener against a team ranked 6 points lower in the match-up so they could have some planning issues. This game could be close but I think Boghoppers win by more than 14. A couple of ill-timed turnovers could be the difference.

Dayton <-FnA-> over Amsterdam Red Lights
Of course, I'm not picking my team to lose but after the ARL dropped there first game against Terror, I'm feeling pretty good about this one.

Amsterdam Smokers over Drunken Munkeys
The Smokers are still trying to dig out of the chemistry hole they dug themselves into last season but have a strong team. We'll see this week as the 1st week wasn't a tough test. With the some depth issues at WR, the team could run all day. The Munkeys, much to everyone's surprise, hasn't done much to improve the team with the loses they had in the offseason. Running 3 CPU OT's isn't help the cause and a very weak D-line will be beat up at the end of this one. The league has caught the dominate Munkeys.

Coventry Terror over Burnt Orange Rising
The Terror caught a great season opening break by beating the ARL, and they made a statement that they aren't the league whipping pole this season. They don't have a super great team on paper but they are VERY solid up and down the roster. The BOR are a building team but still a little under the league average. They could get a few wins this season but it wouldn't be against the Terror.

Arlington Avalanche over Athens Nighthawks
This is a tough call here, so I'll use the chemistry. The Nighthawks will be at 35 or 36 for the game and the Avalanche will have 77. The Nighthawks have 2 great HB but they didn't move the ball well in the opener, so maybe they are still tweaking the AI, so they could improve this game. The Avalanche offense will have a little trouble moving the ball but should have a few scoring plays and they have a solid defense. Close game.

Oslo Norsemen over Glasgow Doom
The Norsemen lost a heart-breaker in their opener by 2 points and just ran out of time on the last drive. However the Doom have been sold/bought and will be in rebuilding mode for awhile. The league wishes them luck but it'll be rough for a few weeks or more. The Norsemen should watch out for the killer lvl 1 C they just hired.

Iceland Dream Team over Syracuse Slashers
IDT lost the opener by a good margin, here is there chance to get to .500. The Slashers are rebuilding but will be awhile before they are competitive in this league, good luck.

Barcelona Admirals over Helsinki Devils
Neither team has enough players unless they all have 40+ stamina. This game could go either way and the loser could be in danger of not winning all season, will until they face the rebuilding teams.

The league isn't as strong as it was last season, with 4 teams either just plain behind or rebuilding but the other 12 teams all have a shot at the play-offs. Good luck to everyone from the Dayton <-FnA->.

Inactivity caught us. Our roster has quite a few inactive signs next to it. Unfortunately, by most of our starters.

Yea, a few teams have a rash of inactives. They don't help anyone except maybe on ST. Good Luck.

No love for the Nighthawks. That game wasnt even close. We just ran all over them all day long. We took advantage of the huge level drop offs from starter to backup. Maybe we can get some love next week.

No, I like being the underdog. Let them keep on hating us and we'll show them all why we're the best.

It is nice to be the underdog. Soon enough they will all know who the best is.

the Devils will gladly take their first win against a depleted Admirals team! We'll see if we can pull off another victory in our next game.

With all the tactic updates, this is getting harder to pick. 5-3 ain't bad for the first week

Sorry guys, I slept this evening, so the predictions wouldn't get done until MAYBE in the morning, but work has been real bad lately, but if I get time in the morning I'll put something up.

Just to let you know, the Munkeys are under new ownership. Looks like Daddyski and Yans took released their guys before they released the team. I'm not sure what happened, but we are a hurting unit right now.

We still have a decent core intact, but need to make some big time acquisitions to get back to the level we were last year. The new owner has pledged to "clean up the mess", so I'm sure we aren't the sinking ship we appear to be.
