I predict a Katanas-Kamikazees championship. We might make the playoffs too.

Not to be a jerk, but you cant do worse then you did last year.

This isn't the same team as last year.

I think you guys can win 7.

Our league is friggin tough.

I'm just happy we didn't have to wait fifteen games to get a win this year.

I'm just an insignificant LOLB for the Taiwan Dragons, but we should have never been demoted. We were cursed with an inactive owner who kept a lot of power from GMs, and we can't wait to get back to AAA where we were once mentioned in the Top 10. With our new owner (Spiel) we hope to accomplish this.

But hey, I'm sure our short visit will be fun!

i added a just-missed-playoffs list; idaho and blue city is on it

it basically means that they are fighting for the 6th-8th spots

i'll make an update to my unaccurate predictions as soon as game 2 played

playoff seed predictions updated, along with the addition of tiers

Laos dropped out of the playoff seeds since they were held scoreless and easily defeated by MMJ

Blue City is still not a playoff seed since their first two wins both came against tier 5 teams; how they perform against taiwan will heavily factor into post-game 3 predictions

Idaho should have put up more points against Blood Gulch. Not taking away from them at all, they are a tough team. Damn advanced tactics, I tried to be cute and try something new. DOH! Idaho is an ugly team and we are going to play that way in the trenches.

Great game Blood Gulch, hope to play you guys again in the playoffs.

I can't wait either, but after a game like today, we clearly have work to do.

my probably unaccurate zeta predictions:

1 Taiwan Demons
2 Himalayan Raging Yetis
3 Kolkata Witch Doctors
4 Myanmar Military Junta
5 Blood Gulch Chupathingies
6 Idaho Hurricats
7 Guam Carabao
8 Fort Worth Thunder

i know i am missing a playoff team... which one is it? (i mean obvious top 4-6 team)

i tried not to over bias it by NOT putting the yetis in 1st. taiwan got the top spot since they beat KWD. the yetis were next, followed by KWD (i have a feeling that they will go on a mad winning streak again). MMJ edges out blood gulch for the final home advantage spot

blood gulch gets the 5th seed, while idaho gets the 6th seed. guam gets the 7th seed (since they made things tough in our game and since they crushed davao), and fort worth edges blue city out for the last spot (Blue City has only defeated the 2 gutted teams; they also shouldnt have given up 19 pts to beijing)

just missed playoffs teams: Laos Dragons and Blue City Bruisers

Some more info:
Tier One (elite teams, best teams in conference)
Taiwan Demons
Himalayan Raging Yetis
Kolkata Witch Doctors

Tier Two (great teams and playoff bound, but not good enough to be in the elite teams)
Myanmar Military Junta
Blood Gulch Chupathingies

Tier Three (bubble teams; some of these teams will make the playoffs as the last seeds, others will just miss out)
Idaho HurriCats
Guam Carabao
Fort Worth Thunder
Blue City Bruisers
Laos Dragons

Tier Four (not basement dwellers or bubble teams; just in between. if they make smart decisions, they could be bubble teams next season)
Davao Diablos
Beijing Knights
Semerang Scorpions

Tier Five (basement dwellers, rebuilding teams. two teams in this tier will be demoted, the other stays alive for another season)
Ia Drang Snipers
Blutos Truckers
Shanghai Street Walkers

if two teams are within one tier of each other, the game should be a close one. if two teams are 2+ tiers away from each one, the higher-tier team will be clearly favored to win

I WILL NOT BE MAKING PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS UNTIL ALL THE SEEDS ARE LOCKED UP (usually by weeks 13-15)

I still remember last season, those two tough losses and then boom we came running out the gates and won 14 straight games to tie for first.

I think this year it will be a tight race once again with us(KWD) and Taiwan Demons, Yetis, and MMJ, and Blood Gulch(Blood Gulch really is a great team this year, they were a young team but shit their good now.)

Dont sleep on us KWD's this season were hungry, we were mad about the upste in the playoffs last year, but were even more hungry to challenge for the Zeta again.

Good luck everyone have a great season 4 day 5. =)

Oh and btw, I think the Idaho Hurricats are the big time sleeper this year. They have a lot of great talent.

I just cant wait till (KWD) and HRY play this year. we won last year so I say the odds stay on our side just by a little, but heck taiwan demons beat us this year, but we beat them last year before we brought in some key pieces.

I think this season will be even harder than last season. Their are the usual players and then their are the sleepers this year that can and will beat a few teams. I wouldn't be suprised to see a 13-3 1st place team.

the zeta predictions are going to really change, as guam stunned KWD 23-13

here are the updated rankings:
1 Taiwan Demons
2 Himalayan Raging Yetis
3 Kolkata Witch Doctors
4 Blood Gulch Chupathingies
5 Myanmar Military Junta
6 Idaho Hurricats
7 Guam Carabao
8 Laos Dragons

Blue City and FW Thunder are the teams that just missed out

taiwan shut down blue city's O to stay in 1st place. the yetis defeated MMJ in a close, low scoring game, to remain in 2nd. despite being stunned, KWD retains the 3rd spot, since i dont think that blood gulch is quite ready to jump over them. blood gulch jumps over MMJ, since they are still undefeated, but that could change, as they play two hard games against laos and the yetis

MMJ fell to 5th (could change quickly), idaho stayed put with a win, guam moved up a spot with an upset win, and laos overtakes TW thunder since they easily defeated fort worth

the FW Thunder fell swapped spots with laos since they lost to laos, and blue city remained out of the top 8 since they were nearly shutout by taiwan

Our secret defense has not worked well at all, we will come out strong for our next game. But Guam really gave us a good game. I will assure you that KWD will get on a winning streak again soon. We have fixed AI issues and we are ready to roll now.

I think it's gonna be tough for us to repeat our record of 14-2 and it will be tough for other teams to do it too.

You guys will pick it up KWD, there's no doubt about that. This is going to be a fun season to see how these zeta teams iron out. Alpha has some interesting story lines as well.

Keep up the rankings though, they are fun stuff

As everyone in Zeta gets knocked around over here in Alpha we have 3 undefeated teams left... except this number will possibly reduce itself too 1 in the following 3 weeks...
Looks to be the battle of two 4-0 teams in week 5 (no disrespect to Kyoto Connoisseurs who play SUFC or Jakarta Jesuits who play KK in week 3) but everyone has there eyes set to watch

Kamukura Katanas vs Shanghai United F.C. in week 5

then

Shanghai United F.C. vs Palembang Drunken Monks in week 6

watch out everyone its about to get nasty...

no predictions i just cant wait

actually, there are still 3 undefeated teams in zeta, and that # probably wont change until week 5

the yetis, blood gulch, and taiwan are all heavily favored to win in game 4, unless laos can pull off a stunner against blood gulch

in game 5, it'll be yetis vs blood gulch, so that'll definetely be interesting

meanwhile, taiwan has a very good chance to win their first 7 games. in game 8, they'll be really challenged by MMJ. if they can live thru that game, they'll be still undefeated when they play blood gulch in game 10, which again, will be a toughie
