The problem I have with that is what kind of mascot is that? If it means a bunch of white people you should say Choctaw Crackers. A cracker party is no mascot. No mascot = horrible name. I know I was part of Madden Nation and I bitched to davitrav about the name but it was too late and couldn't be changed. I was happier with Madden All-Stars it worked for me. I am even happier with our new name Hollywood Misfits. It's nothing cunning but it has a proper location and mascot.
BTW I grew up hating the Utah Jazz as I lived in Idaho! Maybe this is where it all derived from. Them and their Bear for a mascot. Why not the Utah Bears/Grizzlies? ARGH! Ok that's just a pet peeve of mine and you asked me to explain it.

I'll 2nd, but only because I think changing a team name every year is stupid.
We purposely left our team name "Windsor Warriors" as is when we moved from Canada to the US because we had already established an identity with the name.
