To make matters worse, The Michigan Wolverines will also be terrible this year...

Think Stanton will see some time behind center?

Part of me hopes so, but only because we already know what Jon Kitna is - an 8-8 AT BEST QB. Stanton is an unknown...

Which means he COULD be better than Kitna... I doubt he could be much worse

Is Kitna guaranteeing 10 wins again this year?

ROFL ! I think Kitna does that because he has to make himself feel good after an 8-8 season. Hell, winning 8 out of your personal goal of 10 isnt so bad ? HAHA !

I can't laugh too loud because they were better than my Bears last season.

I mean how the hell do they sweep the almost NFC Champion, 13-3 Packers and get swept by the Lions?

1. I don't think Dallas will win the Superbowl this coming season. They have a very talented team and a great QB imo but Wade Phillips is a terrible coach. Great at running a defence but has no clue of what he is doing on offense. Running play actions on 3rd and long makes no sence to me what so ever. If Bill Parcells stuck around one more year I think the Cowboys would have won it all.

2. The Bills on the other hand won't even make the playoffs because Dick Jauron is just as bad of a coach if not worse.

3. The Vikings need a QB before they have a shot at doing anything. I would put my money on the Jaguars this year.

Wade Phillips is a terrible coach ? lol

Lets look at the teams he has coached.
1. New Orleans
2. Denver
3. Buffalo
4. Atlanta

Since Wade Phillips has left all of these teams, how many Superbowls have all of these teams combined won ? Two, with Shanahan coaching. But that was with Elway in his prime and Denver would have won it regardless of who was coaching.

How can you say Wade is a bad coach when every coach after him has failed to do anything with those same teams as well ?

The Bears have had our number the past few seasons and it is really starting to piss me off. . .

Because they all suck too. Except for Shanahan. I'm sure there are other people out there who think he is a good head coach. He being terrible is just my own opinion. I don't think he is good at play calling. Very good defensive co-ordinator though.

Yeah, just as I started not minding Brett Favre they shove him out the door.

Go Packers.
Honestly, the whole Favre situation is pissing me off. EARTH TO THOMPSON, IT'S BRETT FAVRE! The guy who would have won MVP for the 4th time had it not been for Tom Brady's record setting season. I mean, yeah it's completely unfair to Rodgers, but I would be shopping him around rather than Favre and then give Brohm a shot when Favre decides to finally retire.
Anyways, I see the Packers finishing around 10-6/11-5 this year. I think Rodgers can play.
But as for Superbowl Champs it's gotta be the Patriots.

Packer fan here also. I'm actually going to Green Bay for the Colts game. I think TT has been trying to get Brett to retire since he got there. Ted Thompson wants to build his own legacy by creating a team via the draft. Favre is an old peg in a new wheel. He's a great leader/player/whatever but he doesn't fit TT's thinking and thus has to go. I don't agree with it but it's the same as Jimmy Johnson and the Walker trade. Johnson wanted to trade Dan Marino when he got to Miami...

As for Dallas winning it all, it certainly wouldn't surprise me and I hate the fucking Cowbitches.

I followed him pretty closely at State. 80% of the time he would look like the best QB in the NCAA. The other 20% of the time he would look almost helpless. Not sure which version will show up in the pros, but I still think he could be good. Was glad to see him go to the Lions. I was raised in Michigan and need to see the Lions win before I die.

I didn't follow him THAT close, but I followed him. I know he was right there with Matt Leinert for the country's best QB Rating for most of that season... but part of that is the teams they were playing.

I've lived in Michigan my entire life, I follow both the Spartans and the Wolverines. I was honestly disgusted the Lions took Stanton with that pick... I was REALLY hoping they were going to take David Harris from Michigan, but they passed on him and the Jets got him - and he dominated last year.

The problem with starting Stanton is you are pretty much conceding to a Rebuild year if he doesn't come out and light it up right away. If they are going to ever do anything with the weapons they have now on offense, it needs to be this year - because I think a lot of them will leave if we don't.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Roy Williams in a Cowboys jersey after this season.

what, you dont want a 36 yr old QB who might be able to get us 8 wins? the second they start to lose i think we see stanton. and probably sooner than later. although, behind that offensive line i dont think either will fair to well.

i cant imagine the Lions let Roy walk w/o at least 1 franchise tag. i'm guessing it gets ugly but i hope (maybe pray?) they keep him happy. if he goes, thats offical 100% failure on 5 yrs of picks. harrington, rogers, both williams, KJ, bailey, lehman, shaun rogers (although bodden was a nice snag in return) and on an on.... right back to starting ALL over again with cherilous, CJ and stanton. sometimes i hate the nfl.
