Your GM and Owner knew he wanted his own guy but were being unreasonable with him. Not a word was said to me that he wanted his LB, it was trouble waiting to happen.

Guess you forgot to add that he wants his guy on his own capped team. I think thats something worth mentioning.

he was being unreasonable in wanting to be released, did he really expect to get his own player for free, this is just like Restricted FA in the NFL, Team A has RFA Player A and Team B wants player A, Team B makes offer to player A, but refuses to pay the Comp to team A. Therefore team A is left with nothing while Player A and Team B have a great time rejoicing over how they just screwed team A

not if he had a multi-year contract as he did, he still had 3 years left on his contract, if he knew he was getting a team he shouldnt have signed a long contract. Or he could've at least asked for it to be renegotiated once he put his name on the list for a team

Exactly some of the reason why I traded for him. Mentioning the fact that he wants the LB for his own team should have been done though. If so I wouldnt have made the deal. It was misleading
