I doubt the owner of your team really wants to. In any other league the goal is to move up, I just think that unless you already have 30 level 20+ guys lined up you are just slitting your wrists. Otherwise, you may win a game or two and maybe, just maybe you can avoid relegation back to Canada A for season 5.
Also, in almost every case (except for a couple of gutted teams) the teams moving down from AA are about 4-8 levels above most teams in A and if they couldn't compete at AA with those guys how are we supposed to compete at AA with guys 5 levels lower. Gameplanning can only overcome so much.

Yeah i forgot that the Canada AA's have been around forever while the A leagues just started recently.

Dude, the "King in his Castle" as you refer to him, is working on a massive project to get the advanced tactics and depth charts, etc. ready for season 4. He is also still dealing with a lot of day-to-day issues. He has responded to this issue, just hasn't given a definitive answer. Many are right, if the answer doesn't come out by tonight we will see some teams "throwing" the conference final games tomorrow. At that point I guess poetic justice would be for those teams to find out there was no promotion anyhow, and they just cost themselves $400K.
