Hahaha, yeah, I don't think anyone's riled up or anything. Just pointing out that guaranteeing victories and talking trash isn't going to make you any friends. At the same time, every team has dozens of guys on it, so it's pretty much to be expected that a couple of 12 year olds will be included in the mix no matter what. Sore winning isn't something you expect to see, though.

because unlike most we chose our tactics differently and CHOSE to sneak into the playoffs... u may laugh at that but that is the case

As for the rest of the team though, seriously well-played game. You guys smoked us. I thought we had a pretty good gameplan going in, but we really never even had much of a shot.

Well I 've got a "bee" about reading comprehension skills. The confidence level in my post IS NOT YOUR CHANCE OF LOSING. It is a measure of how confident I am in the numbers, out to the third standard deviation. In your case, your team boosted AFTER I made the prediction...

Lesson learned, next season I will wait until the day of...

Rod... look at how 99% of the league handles winning... look at how you are handling it.

This is not sour grapes, this is an honest suggestion, and I hope you consider it well: your first post in your... let's see... 45 minutes in these forums... complained about how none of us are talking enough trash for your liking. But everyone else seems to like it this way. So, there are a few ways this can go:

1) Everyone else grabs a can of spray paint and starts turning this league into most of the others
2) You keep trying to make this league into what you want it to be and you become "that guy"
3) You find a league that fits what you want this game to be for you

I am not saying this to try and drive you away, I'm saying this because it sucks to be somewhere you aren't happy. I have a player who got moved without expecting it to South America... and I have demanded a trade to bring him to this league because this place is what I am more in the mood for. If you are more in the mood for what SA or Canada has to offer (and maybe others... I've not been in those...) maybe a trade would suit you.

Enjoy the game, have fun, but if you keep thinking that the problem is with "everyone else," maybe it's time to look for a place where "everyone else" likes the kind of banter you like.

Isn't trash talk supposed to happen before the games are played? Were you not confident enough. What you're doing now, Rodhands, is not trash talk, it's gloating. That's probably why people mistake you for a 12 year old.

No, I'm not going to talk trash back, because I don't see any reason to. We got stomped, we're going back to the drawing board, and we'll come back stronger next season. It is what it is.

No, not at all. If you read what I actually wrote, I acknowledged that he was probably Canberra's "that guy", and the rest of you are probably all just fine. But like it or not, when your players start guaranteeing victories and saying that they dominate a team, it reflects badly on you.
