ok geez our running game is not based on 1 person its based on all our HBs and our FBs they get alot carries also since seemi gets about half and i get 1/4 of our carries if you checked our games you would see by the way our team has 3 less TDS for like 80 less rushes and i have 7 less TDS for 70 less rushes im not saying seemi is bad but he is not as good as his stats show btw im pretty sure the vikins will make it to the finals vs either us or sundowners Seemi also had a huge game with a 66 yard td 243 Yards 6 TDS and YPC of 12 thats like 1/5 of his total rushing yards and 1/3 of his TDS thanks to that really huge game his stats are that great still give vikings props however they managed to throw and pass that much in a single game... still trying to figure that out i still have somethings in mind but i forgot that i mentioned in my other posts...

the more touches you get, the LOWER your overall stats tend to go. except for total yards and TDs.

Guys don't even worry about it. I'm just REALLYY hopin we get a chance to play this dude in the playoffs. Then, and only then, will he know wassup.

By the way, you might wanna note the reason why you don't get as many carries as me...Those 7 fumbles, not good.

CASE CLOSED.

We didn't have the benefit of two cupcake games like you guys did at the start of the season? That's what I'm saying, it's not really accurate to measure East against West, especially in a short season. The only accurate measurement we have is if we had common opponents....which we did...the Marauders...so lets see how our rushing games did against the same defense:

Vikings: 146.5 Rushing Yards
Maulers: 222 Rushinng Yards

Vikings: 3.6 yrds per rush (41 Rushes)
Maulers: 4.9 yrds per rush (45 Rushes)

Vikings: 2 fumbles (2 lost)
Maulers: 0 fumbles

Vikings: 15 Pancakes
Maulers: 6 Pancakes (Which is more of a pass block thing anyway. I'm not trying to argue our O-line is better than yours)

Vikings: 2 Rushing TD
Maulers: 1 Rushing TD

Pretty clear, on an even field who the superior running game was. I mean, that's not ironclad proof either, small sample size, but it's a lot closer to accuracy than just grabbing total stats.

Pancakes are more of a pass block thing?????? Are you serious?

Damn if we can take a sampling of certain games.. my Backup QB had the game of the year? Does that make him the best QB in the league? You have to take the entire season if you are going to talk about a statistical figure. It makes no sense to just take your best stretch and compare it to everybody else.

Yeah, that was uh...wrong...it was...late...

I still stand by there being no good accurate way to compare teams in any good way other than to evaluate how they fared against common competition. Unfortunately, the only case where I could do that was with one game, which is far too small to judge anything. But it's still a better way than taking accumulated stats from two different leagues. Same way you don't see I-AA players not getting a whole lot of consideration for the Heisman.

In a full season, when both teams have seen the entirety of both divisions, the best and the worst (Vikings saw both, kind of steered clear of the middle, Maulers played the top half almost exclusively), then the comparisons will be a little better, if still fairly inaccurate. (IMO, the top portions of the East & West are pretty even, but the East is a little crappier at the bottom).

None of this matters now of course, we laid a turd in our first playoff game, and don't have much to do now but sheepishly eat some crow and prep for season 4. But I think it's important that these things are clarified, because it's likely to be a recurring issue around here.
