If someone made the mistake of tanking it against us, that wasn't the smartest decision they ever made.

I admit, we didn't tank it against you.

OTOH, our #2 QB got more PT against Guadalcanal than he has had the rest of the season combined...

But that was a simple mistaken Energy setting, not an attempt to manipulate the playoff seedings or anyting like that.

Who would lose on purpose?

Same with our loss to the Troyfins. Chris set the O tactics "under the influence" of our good friend alcohol. lol

German Wilddogs (A12) vs Devonport Devils (Z7)
Alpha people must have gotten lost on their way to Oceania. The Wilddogs run into the grinder that is Devonport. The Devils play extremely tough and if they hadn't started late might have challenged for a top 4 spot.
Even dogs die, Devils send them to hell by 17

Devonport is laying the smackdown, plain and simple- by 42

I really do like this stuff of pregamereports...and even more so this time, we were able to pull up with a big upset!! Go Wilddogs...and GREAT game Devils! That was some football

Sacred Haven Knights (A3) vs Fiji Flying Foxes (Z4)
The Foxes are reeling after an upset loss to the Gunners but don't let that or the ranking fool you, these are some mean and now pissed off Foxes. The Knights are solid and consistent and should challenge the foxes every move. Both rosters are all star caliber and this should be an instant classic. It's going to come down to the details in this one, as one mistake will either make or break you.
Foxes capitalize, win by 7

Sacred Haven Knights (A3) vs Fiji Flying Foxes (Z4)
Sacred Haven played it very close to both Hawthorn and Suva, while Fiji came off of an upset to johnbarber and his Gunners. Sacred Haven has a potent passing attack, and they have a great kicker who can convert long FGs as well as a standout DE. I think that Sacred Haven is very slightly better, but gets the short end of the stick a third time- Fiji by 3.

Thanks for the motivation guys. I think we played a little better than Fiji even though we could have lost had we not intercepted them once in the end zone but we also had at least one bad break of our own that kept us from scoring.

I can't believe you both doubted the Knights

I was pretty well please with the way we played against Hawthorn. Good luck Zeta in the playoffs.

If you looked, I said I thought you were the better team. I figured that you would get "the short end of the stick" i.e. you would lose because of a key fumble. And boy, was I wrong about Devonport! Good job to the WILDDOGS, but Devenport looked like the better team pre-game.

EDIT- Good game to the Falcons. I'm happy we won, and that my backups got plenty of PT (a few levelled, so woohoo me!)

I don't buy that at all. You guy's were playing for a #1 seed and there's not a coach in the land that would play their back up's in a game that meant the difference between homefield advantage thru out the playoffs.

Nice try coach but I'm not buyin it.

Dude I dont think so.

The Pirates are for real.

I think they can contend for the playoffs next year.

They completely out played us in week 14.

We just got lucky.

Look at my guys' playing time. Other than having too many LBs, everyone else got plenty of PT. I never said that I was STARTING my backups, and the fact is, I was playing for the #1 seed. I trust my backups enough to where they can get a lot of PT and still win the game.

Close call on which conference is better. Zeta takes wins overall just barely with a 9-7 record. On coach's games that determine which conference is better Zeta barely wins with a 4-3, but loses the game of the week.

Too close to call I think.

Thanks for doing the math, I was just getting to that. I would say that both conferences are close, but overall, the SLIGHT edge goes to Zeta I have to admit. Now, let's see who the best team in the league is (of course I hope it's an Alpha team, and especially my team!)

I think the playoffs are going to be pretty exciting as far as watching circles (or tecmobowl sprites if you run the mods) goes.

The Stingers look like they lose most of their level advantage while everyone else boosts. Will they be able to keep their winning streak up? We will find out!

Zeta might be deeper, but in the end all that matters will be the #1 Zeta vs the #1 Alpha anyway. So we shall see.
