Well, consider this. The last game Berlin ever lost was a playoff game versus us with the score 23-0.

If we match up again in the playoffs and if neigther of us promote, I think a rivalry would probably start to form.

If anyone was wondering why i started this thread, read the thread called "league top teams". if you're a fan of self aggrandizing self indulgent prattle, that thread is for you. Asmodan never fails to raise pigeon to an art form (i didnt know you could actually write with an accent but he proved its possible). i don't know how he keeps his shoulder from exploding, anyone who pats themselves on the back as much as this guy is risking season ending surgery. he definitely needs a rectal lipectomy.

Okay I'm confused... You started this thread on the 9th in response to a thread Asmodan posted on the 13th? I wish I had foresight like that, you got any lottery numbers for California I can use?

And how exactly is that backpatting? He took the system generated stats, and copied them down in a single place so the top few teams in each category were easier to read.

i think i said this before, if you want unbiased reporting, go talk to reuters. Asmodan talks most about what he knows (his own team), and i doubt theres anyone else that would take as much time as him to go over the results of other teams that have in all honesty, nothing to do with him. do YOU honestly know the ins and outs of all the Zeta teams? i certainly dont. (not their fault, mine)

i think there are very few here that would argue that anything asmodan has said has been a complete lie. are you saying we *dont* have the best rushing yards and pancakes in the league? because the rules beg to differ.

in fact id be amazed if there was anyone outside cork who disagreed with his analyses, in season 3 talk and his statcrunching.

and a last little comment for your rose-tinted world - i believe cork fully deserve to be in the playoffs. their awesome record of 1 win against a playoff team reflects this, and their 10 losses were all massive flukes. the final table reresents wins and losses, not how good the teams really are, which shows it to be flawed. Asmodan is outrageous for suggesting anything contrary to the above.

see you next year. (in all honesty i hope not though - id quite like to get the slip on frankfurt and fluke promotion )

After their last game, I'm hoping Belfast will take out Frankfurt before we even get near them. I got my Commando's jersey on, you can count me in as one of their supporters, at least until we play them again.

his analysis is not at issue, nothing against asmodan (and i actually mean that in this case), but, i need his game analysis about as much as i need the idiots on fox sunday countdown....or cbs and their abortion of a pre-game show (for our european friends who may be reading, this has to do with american tv and how they show football games in this country.....think of it like the annoying scottish guy who tells you which soccer club is going to win and why).
as i said this is not the issue and no im not blessed with foresight, i dont have to be a visionary to read this guys constant bleating about how great bow street is and how when his team loses the other team is never responsible for beating his team, yeah we get it jeez. that league betters or top teams or whatever was symptomatic of what he's been doing all season, i merely used it as an example.

honestly I'm going to completely ignore your first three paragraphs, you missed the point. which i'm sure happens to you a lot, but, i understand he's a team mate and you choose to defend his analysis.....or whatever.
lets look at those last 2 shall we...(and i think i speak for the entire Cork City team.....wait im a general manager....so yes i speak for the entire team) we feel we are better than our record, we also know we have to improve in certain areas (how did you put it, oh yeah flawed), but we improved over last season and if we improve equally next season we feel we will be a contender. i would ask you to remember one tiny little detail, this flawed team known as Cork City walked right up to you in your own house and smacked you right in the mouth.....that one ranked team we beat was yours.
as for your promotion i wish you the best of luck, however considering our team beat you and frankfurt pounded us like flank steak (credit where credit is due frankfurt beat us soundly they were better than us by a lot.......see it's not that difficult asmodan try it sometime).....my analysis is, that its not very likely.

OK how is a list of stats created in game "back patting" by asmodan

FACT1 yes we appear in those top threes a few times Blocking, returning and rushing are our main threats (not to give to much away) surprize surprize we are in the top 3 for all of them (otherwise we might also have had a losing season)

Fact2 errm where are cork in those lists oh wait i see one sacks made congratulations but making 21 sacks over the season isnt going to get you very far if youve got nothing to back it up

Fact3 yes you beat us, yes you beat us at home, yes we will be more determined to plan against you in the future but unfortunately for you stats dont lie beating one team once doesnt make you a good team

how many people remember Ipswich beating Manchester Utd 3-2 at old trafford oh wait Man Utd then went on to win the treble that year and unfortunately Ipswich got relegated (<<<< spot the ipswich fan) and yes thats a soccer analogy for all you yanks
