Even though I think people from the East know that the West is tough, but I don't think they truly appreciate how tough it is. Let's put it this way, we are currently sitting in 6th place right now, we have beaten the #2, #3, #4 teams in our conference, but we've lost to the #8 and #9 teams. Having played them I must say the difference is not that big.
It's hard to say how the East stacks up since we have only played one team from the East, NY Grizzleys. In the BBB Championship game last year, we beat them 44-0. I know that was a season ago, and things change, so they could be a much improved team this year than last. Still, I think if the Farvas played in the West, they would at best go 4-5 or 5-4 against top 9 teams, 3-6 is probably more likely (lose to top 3 teams and split with the other 6), which would make them 10-6 and likely 7th or 8th place team.
I guess we will find out in week 16. Top 2 teams from the East are playing two of the top teams from the West. We already know Superior and Sharks can play with anybody, but how the rest of the East team do, especially against the other 7 teams from the West will really tell the strength of the two conferences. I wouldn't be surprised if the West go 6-1 or 7-0 in those games.
I appreciate how tough it is. I am the O-coordinator for a team in AA#4 and that league is just sick in both conferences and especially the West, so I appreciate what it is like to play in a tough conference.
