Actually if we win tonight, we should have the tie-breaker over Brisbane and Mt Isa in head to head since we would have beat them both.

I'm not sure if it matters, I think once you're in the three-way tie the tiebreaker might be points scored regardless of a two way h2h sweep being present. Might want to ask somebody on that one though because I'm not too sure.

the second tie breaker is a total of head-to-head games if more than 2 teams are involved.

5(add). How are ties broken in the standing?
-----a. If there are only 2 teams, it's just based upon the head-to-head matchup
-----b. If there are more than 2 teams, then it's based upon these factor in this order:
1. # of head-to-head wins against the other teams with the same record
2. # of points scored
3. # of points allowed.

Updated. Not much of a change overall, this week.

EDIT: Thanks to Mornacale for helping me realize I didn't get the updated 11-16 properly.

I am assuming that our Northbrook Nightmare team is the favorite to win it all? I honestly think we match up with every team quite well...

I don't know. Your offense is very good but unspectacular, and your defense basically requires turnovers to succeed (of course, you always get them, so you're obviously playing it right). I think Samoa matches up well to you: we have a defense that could absolutely contain you and limit any damage that turnovers cause, and our offense can put up some points.

That said, it would be a dogfight, and even if we win I doubt we'd run away with it. I'd predict a 14-12 final score.

Against any team but Samoa, though, I'd give you guys the edge. Probably it's a toss-up if you play LVSB again, but you've earned the favorite's spot with this week.

I don't think there's one clear cut favourite for the championship and that's what makes this league so great, anybody is capable. Wouldn't surprise me to see some upsets in the playoffs.

Pretty much. No disrespect towards the rain, but their beating of the Bears was a pretty solid upset last year in the playoffs.

I'm just hoping we don't get cursed with the #1 seed this year and instead pull a Grinnell.

Also, apologies. Probably not getting any rankings this week, though I don't really see the top 10 changing much, if at all, from last week (save for a potential Samoa-LVSB swap, but I don't think Samoa's win was big enough to push us over).

Being the last week of the regular season, we'll see how things go for next year, since I won't be doing rankings in the playoffs but will instead be focused on winning them.

Yeah, I think it was pretty bad luck for one of the two contenders for the Zeta #1 seed spot to play the #1 seed in Alpha in the last 'week' to decide the final outcome. If we'd played someone apart from LVSB and Samoa in that last game things could have gone differently and perhaps LVSB could have retained the #1 seed but....

Oh well, that's what makes things fun

Yeah, we definitely were lucky that the draw ended up as it did. The Bears deserved the #1 seed every bit as much as we did.

Like Moose, I'm hoping we manage to stay away from any big upsets. I can't even bring myself to wish them on LVSB and Tasmania.

Just as they did last year, the Devils have a chance to knock the higher seeded Melbourne out in the first round. talk about a rematch meant to be.
