But it does work. And everyone can build it. also i don't think you appreciate the rarity of the event happening

in a scrim this morning the knights had 7 attempts and blocking a field goal and 6/7 were totally impossible regardless of stats leaving 1/7 a chance to block the kick but no abilities triggered and he was too slow.

I mean sure but our Kickers suck already so making them worse isn't on my list of things to do.

Even for a S* DT? Like this: http://www.glb2scout.com/vpimages/44_NEW_1640010324.png

Just asking since you're the current expert on it.

yes

in the three scrims blue knights ran this morning 1/17 had a chance at blocked kick and didn't get an ability trigger :\ kinda lower than usual tbh

I'll look at the scrims from yesterday for more numbers

yesterday in two scrims against knights against beta, 33 kicks were attempted 10 had the potential to get a block and non succeeded.

True that a superstar built for the direct purpose of getting to the holder will succeed in getting more blocks but your not going to overcome the rng that is being an unblocked NT as its still more uncommon than being blocked. 30% against team beta was pretty great tbh and the kicker has base physicals which helps a lot.

Also it should be noted that is significantly more likely to work against player built kickers than it is to work against cpu kickers as cpu kickers invest a small amount into physicals and this is a game of every tick mattering.

A good example is Logz kicker vs Borgs kicker. on average borgs kicker started their kick at 19 ticks vs logz kicker on average was kicking at around 22.5 (shade over 23 including a random long kick)

i don't think blocking a 19 tick kick is possible even with a superstar. I think the BEST were gonna get is a 21 tick block but that might be asking too much.

TLDR: investing a small amount into kicker physicals quickly makes this near impossible and even in the best case scenario the chances are not great

Yeah, the code isn't set to handle this happening. So for now while I assume Bort and CD decide if this is a bug or a feature we get a re-kick because the sim doesn't know what to do.

Considering the effort it took to set up, 8 years into the game's life, I'm leaning towards it being neither a bug or a feature and more of a weird quirk than anything else.

so what happens if i can pull this off on a 4th down and push someone back out of FG Range? rekick from new spot or punt or Turnover? What if i pull this off on a potentially game winning FG with 0:00 time remaining on the clock do they still get a rekick does the server crash?

Don't tell me i wanna be surprised

i think the odds are one in a Septillion but what if it happens 15 times in a row is that a 1 point safety?

If this caused a rekick and my team missed and lost the game because of it- I would be pretty upset

just put a small amount of sprinting, snap reaction maybe some balance and quickness on your kicker and you will never have to worry about it

Why. You got lucky to get a 2nd chance. Because of a bug, you got a 2nd chance. And yes, this is a bug. You should be able to build dots who can block FGs and punts.

I disagree. There shouldn't be blocked kicks. Kicking is already fucked enough the way it is.

again entirely avoidable with a small investment in physicals for kickers like 8k-10k will probably be sufficient

Just a hair over 10k and its probably not possible to block unless its a 50+ yarder with a really bad snap roll
