Not really doing politics, but it's hard to deny that the national discourse has taken a significant turn over the past 10 years. You can't really do a "deep dive" of the past decade without at least acknowledging the impact of the major players. Especially when attempting to look at the past through the lens of today.

Which, hey, fair enough. Maybe we shouldn't analyze the past at all and look at everything as the purely objective present. Suspension points serve the very important purpose of extending suspension lengths for the people continually breaking the rules.

I just got carried away because I find the evolution of society and civilization, and why it happens, as an extremely fascinating subject. The GLB forums just happened to serve as a microcosm of that over the past 12-13 years, and the relics of that past are interesting.

I know CD's thought on Trump very well. He even mentioned Trump a couple of posts up (not surprised). I am not naive....he is obsessed with Trump. So a logical conclusion would be that he was referring to Trump.

Speaking of forums, a few weeks back I logged into Mighty Brawlers just to see what was happening, that would be an overzealous mod's wet dream!
