TBH just straight importing a slimmed down GLB2 (less leagues, players) as it stands today and its the BEST football management sim on steam and its not even that close.

Yep, the GLB format with a college level with multiple leagues, and a Pro level with one league would go over huge... allow a user to host his own Leagues with unlimited users running teams, full customization, (finally add injuries) etc. It's a no brainer. These guys can focus on just making the game and doing updates instead of running servers for a browser based game.

It's just a waste to not capitalize on what they got here.

I mentioned in discord you all should take what you have learned here and make a retro style football game on steam. Create it so the league GM hosts the league, PvP, solo, and all that, non ending franchise mode, college & Pro teams & recruiting, hire/fire staff, all that jazz, using this wealth of information and experience as a foundation for a new game. I know there is a player base for this as that you see games like Pro Football Strategy 2021 on Steam or what not. I think that a GLB game with its retro graphics would do great, I know I'd buy it.

Why stop at college and pro? could start in high school even. considering the role of an owner in GLB2 currently you could have staff tied to unlocking more plays or giving a playtype a bonus in the case of offensive/defensive/special team cordinators. Better Recruits for your GM/Scouting staff. Training staff could affect SP point generation. Parity becomes less of a concern with single player aspects and progression added. Almost adds a Rougelite element which would be wild. Rougelite Football game is something i've not heard of before haha

GLB2 has such a nice balance of arcade/sim that's ACTUALLY fun and exciting to watch. Theres a TON of content creators that focus on sports franchise modes or ultimate team modes that would enjoy diving into something like that.

I think there's a huge potential with the GLB, I know if it was developed as a steam game I'd run an open invite franchise with everyone here and make it a focus of my Twitch/FB/YouTube stream instead of just doing Call of Duty all the time. My creative juices would go into overdrive if I could create teams, players, coaches, graphics, injuries, have a league history, etc. all with a GLB type game. Say Vipermaw is known for his Nebraska teams at college level that constantly produces good HB's that my KY Pro team tries to draft every off season while he does his best recruiting for the next school year... good stuff for a weekly show.

I just know that watching a GLB game is a 100 times better than any of those fooball sims I see on Steam and much more fun.

like its not mentioned nearly enough but GLB2 is the best football management game out there like it feels like its still a generation ahead of all its competitors. like its closest competitor is the head coach series and that series was very dry in comparison to GLB2. again that delicate balance of arcade/sim has been struck here

Oh its not even close in comparison which is why i still drop 50-100 a season on it. for me the sim is worth it even if its just to keep it funded and going.

Agree. And I have said numerous times, I think (and just my personnel opinion because I love football so much) that GLB2 is or has potential to be one of the best online games...period. The fact that we don't have hundreds, or even a few thousand solid teams on this game amazes me. There are sooo many people out there that want to play a football sim/strategy game like this.

Said this exact same thing to viper the other day. Is it just an outreach thing where people don't know about it? Is it because it's a browser game?

It’s more of a game that takes commitment, I font have any issues with it being browser. Most people are looking for old ports games to waste time on but in the same breath don’t want to spend time on it. You should see my Xbox library and what I’ve actually played more than 15 minutes
