Week 3 in the Surf League
0-2 Tucson Titans @ 1-1 Something Different
Excuse my political incorrectness but the CPU Tucson Titans are becoming the “whipping boy” of the league. Something Different is coming off of a 31 - 7 victory over We the North where their defense racked up 16 sacks and the offense found the pay dirt 4 times. I expect to see more of the same here.
2-0 Whoville Whos @ 1-1 We the North
It does not get any easier for the Northerner’s as they draw Whoville this week. We the North QB Cow-hi Lennard is still nursing his wounds from last weeks brutal match with Something Different. It is unfortunate for Lennard that OSIRIS likes to bring the heat too. I predict a similar outcome for Lennard and the Northerners. Sorry kenscott.
0-2 Tulsa Massacre @ 1-1 Doomsday Sin
Another easy game to pick. Doomsday shocked and impressed me with last week’s 7-3 upset victory over Southside, proving that they have what it take to beat the CPU Tulsa Massacre.
2-0 Hawaii Bulls @ 1-1 Southside Rebels
I do believe that this will be a good game with both owner/coaches pride on the line. Based on team performances from the first 2 weeks I am going to pick the Bulls to win a close well fought battle.
1-0-1 Calgary Stampeders @ 2-0 Philadelphia Eagles
This should be another good one. The Stampeders have made the most of their “thin” roster but I do not believe that they have enough firepower to keep up with the Eagles. I believe that the Eagles are the cream of the crop in the Surf League at the moment.
0-2 Dallas Slugs @ 0-1-1 Hartford Marauders
I see this as a must win for the Marauders. This can’t be the beginning of the season that Jimeroo envisioned wis his S* studded roster. I think that if ahale had the S*s to compete with Jimeroo the outcome would be different in this one. I predict that the Marauders will pick up their first win and the Slugs will go to 0-3.
