Until you realize that it would be entirely dominated by superstar players being spammed every play against CPU/gutted teams. Or worse, as we had in GLB Classic, people intentionally running bad plays every play from one team to farm stats for a player on the other. Admittedly it might be hard to farm interception records, but most offensive stats would be bogus.

My favorite was when somebody bought an entire league of teams with multis, then used a custom defensive play with all defenders on one side of the field and ran WR screen to the other side of the field every play of every game all season.
