So is there anything that can be done about defensive playcalling? It's completely unacceptable to be honest.

Let's suppose you were a professional baker charging good money for cakes. You bake a cake without the sugar and tell everyone it is fine just eat it. They tell you it is not good and inedible. So you bake another cake without sugar and it sucks just as bad as the first. Of course you couldn't be bothered to actually try those cakes. After 33 cakes you hope they will just happily start eating them and forget they are eating something terrible because you just can't be bothered to add the damn sugar.

It's time to add that damn sugar to that 34th cake. I don't care if it's cane sugar, powdered sugar, honey, sweet and low but you better do something because the cake is horrendous.

What if the Defensive playcalling mechanics just duplicated the offensive system. We all seem very comfortable with that system and seem to have mastered the ability to run the plays we want mostly in the situations we want them to run in. I have no clue why defense has to be different.

Because they don't really feel like doing anything. It needs a major overhaul and they're lazy as shit. Even the minor overhaul I brought up in the past and bhall brought up again here is ignored.

I mean we have to call plays and set cover cushion with the same damn tags. The playcalling system didn't work before, now it even worse which I didn't think was possible.

How the hell would you try to explain this system to a new player? Why should just calling plays be so incredibly complicated?

I probably just spent 45 extra minutes just trying work around system to try get a couple of plays to get called. You have to totally screw up your cover cushion just to call a play and still couldn't get one to fit. Terrible pathetic system.
