what you get pay for the renewal price for the team

I didn't do the math, was too busy. But even if they slashed profits by 50% to something like that, think about the more people sticking around and actually owning teams and the people with multiple teams. This starts cutting out more CPU teams and players, thus increasing profits from more human and less cpu.?

Yep, I think it would make more of the game accessible to more people and probably lead to more FP being purchased.

I guess we just don't know how much more server costs would be with an expanded number of teams and if a ~50% price cut for teams would cover those costs.

Simple suggestions of what the agents would like to see. It's tough to keep spending 100 dollars a season. Eventually the loyalists will disappear so profits drop by 90 percent without your big money players

More FP would be purchased, more players would be made, but I don't think the FPs purchased would come anywhere near covering the server costs. Corndog commented on this but I just can't seem to find it.

Yeah i remember corndog mentioning that too, the only way the structure could change is if the customer base grows dramatically

which just isnt going to happen without spending some money. They are in a tough spot, marketing is going to be big at this point. The game is solid (after we learn about the new balance issue) But nobody knows about it. But at the same time the game is very expensive and its tough to keep people interested.

First they need to clean up the UI and make it better, make the game more friendly to new players, and implement those holding hand guides that almost every browser game have, i mentioned this in some other thread, like "1- create a player, 2- spend skill points, 3- enter a team, 4- play a game" and give in the end bonuses like 1k flex points.

Then they need to ressurect the game, spend some money in marketing, send emails to old players, facebook ads, etc, saying that they are trying to renew the game and stuff, a lot of games does this (heroes of the storm, evolve, for honor...), with a "new" name, like glb2 phase 2, glb2 enhanced or something, change the main page, colors, the logo, make the game look new, have a juicy flex point sale for new players and returning players, AND STOP CALLING THIS AN MMORPG, use football simmulation game.

Make people want to buy flex points and play for long, go a bit sellout, give 1 more S* for accounts that buy flex, or just straight out sell one S* slot for flex points, like 1k.

Also the marketing needs to be immediatly before a new NFL season, of before the playoffs/superbowl.

They could also make a CPU league that anyone can own a team for free or for a cheap price to test out coaching, vet only tier with decent CPU players, 3 S*s each team, with archetype teams to choose, like this:

Passing team: S*QB, S*WR, S*OT
Running team: S*HB, S*FB, S*G
Run defense team: S*LB, S* FS, S*DT
Pass defense team: S*CB, S*DE, S*SS
Balanced team: S*TE, S*LB, S*K (after fixing kicking)

Giving some kind of control over builds, maybe choosing a pre-existent build, or hiring players from a free agency.

This could come with draft, CPU players drafting is the only way to implement draft in this game.

Not complete control over gameplanning to prevent abuse and spam.

Rewards for winners on ladder, league, mvps.

Rewards for achievements and progression.

The game's biggest issues are retaining new agents and keeping older ones. It's fun for owners and coaches, but for agents there's not much to do. The Pickup game system already runs games every 30 mins, so why not revamp that and allows agents to enter players into daily/weekly PuP tournaments (by tier). For older agents, allow retired Legend players to play in the Senior League. Would love to see the all-time greats go at it.

You guys are going too grand scale. Keep it simple. Until their new MMORPG is finished, they won't be doing any grand overhauls here to the structure of this game. Even then when that product is finished, I imagine a lot of their time and energy will be spent hashing out bugs and making the updates.

Expect small changes here from season to season and hope for changes to the game that at least keep guys signing in to play the game in the meantime.

More plays is always the best thing. Especially on defense. More man blitz's, more Cover 3 man plays. Maybe some man/zone hybrid cover 4. Stuff that can attack the deep 3-4-5 WR passing plays and force all passing teams to adapt without just saying hey lets make more incompletions happen doing that.

I agree that more defensive plays tailored to help counter deep passes would be nice.

Also, more useful play action passes please. I think the mechanic is very cool, we just need more plays that are worth using.

Like where this thread is headed! More defensive plays!

There are too few teams.

How about:

If you are a Team Owner, your account gets double SuperStar slots.

Basically, you can have 6 S* instead of 3.

This doesn’t raise their costs. In fact, it would probably increase Flex purchases with boosts.

You’d still need to earn the S* which would also increase revenue.

Would be a nice bonus for Team Ownership and would discourage multi-accounts too.

How about we actually publish what most skills actually do instead of making it so ambiguous that you have to serve under one of the existing super users to find out how to build players?

Most people don't have $200 to build 5 teams to figure this shit out on their own and lose miserably for a hundred games because of the entirely insular userbase and the nebulous nature of your endlessly complex sim.

I get that part of your profit scheme is for people to aggressively fail their way out of benjamins but would it be so difficult to have an actual hard number wiki?
