This...inconsistency.

How can a HB like Garbage Truck invest ZERO SPs into balance, yet break 1000 tackles in a season??? Balance should be THE #1 SKILL on a power back. How can you break a tackle if you get knocked off balance very easily??? The concept of tackling is basically knocking another player off balance so he falls to the ground.

This needs to be on NFL films, right up there with the "Butt Fumble".

Basically, there's a piece of inverted code that essentially makes it that once you start losing balance, you're more or less guaranteed to keep losing balance. It's not supposed to be a guaranteed loss on that roll. It can definitely be overcome, and Balance is actually a pretty cheap skill, but that's the current state, and why the results are like they are.

Investment in Balance affects both how much you continue to lose, and how much you recover over time. This part is actually working as intended. It should be noted that heavy rain is a massive penalty to balance, on top of naturally low balance, players are going to be struggling to stay up, let alone sprinting down field.

Though, all that said, I have what I think is much more of an improvement to the system that I've been testing out ony devbox. Instead of the static gain/loss rolls always in effect once off balance, it's more of depreciation system...the longer ago the event that caused you to lose balance, the easier it becomes to recover. The more of a loss that was caused, the longer and more difficult it becomes to recover. It creates more of a consistent system than having a balance cascade after making a slight cut.

These changes will likely end up coming out sometime after Christmas, whenever we are both back in town. I was going to hold off until the off-season, but didn't realize how bad the results would end up being.

Thanks man, we do appreciate the work you 2 do on this game we love.

Now I gotta know if the morale damage to offense is gonna get fixed?
