It's good to see this thread, and like the OP said, the GD forum is full of trolls, it's nice to see the main players of the game talk about things like this

I support the right to kneel and protest...This is the way to do it not like fergeson or Baltimore.

here is my issue, Obama was in office for 8 years. That was the time to get shit done. What was ever done about chicago? Obama's so called hometown? He also had the chance to unite everyone but IMO he drove everyone further apart. Crickets when cops were getting shot in their patrol cars but leading the masses when the cops fucked up.

With that said, I grew up in the NYC projects. I went to the same schools, same doctors, shopped in the same stores as many people who "looked" different than me but I dont know what it is like to walk a mile in their shoes. Their journey is certainly differnt than mine.

nobody said the country is racist, we said there are still racist issues. And its not just about black people. It is about all races and the need to be united as a country and not united as different races. You can't put a fact on right or wrong. Do cops tend to suspect a black person our at night walking the streets to be doing something wrong? no evidence supports this Do most assume the hispanics mowing lawns are illegals? no evidence supports this both questions come with a yes prodominatly. in your opinion The fact is that its true. opinions are not facts but its also true that some black people assume if a white cop is doing is job normally on say and actual speeding ticket, the cop is a racist pig. Now clearly both of these examples are wrong. And its the entire point. These players want unity as one. Not saying just black people are attacked here. yes this whole thing starting about the treatment of black americans by those in power be it cops or society Where this got out of hand is when the president comes out and calls the players SOB. it got out of hand when the media got heavily involved No president ever should have done that. you are correct imo, but this president wasn't elected because of his pc nature, or ability to live up to presidential standards He is suppose to represent the country as a whole not as his opinion. ehhh, job description doesn't say that, he still is his own person Like i said before i originally was one that thought these players needed to stand the fuck up. But as i did research and saw what they stood for(or refused to stand for) i no longer felt as i did before. why? What researched findings lead you to that? Are they based on emotional statements or facts? Now at the end of the day do i believe they should stand yes i do because its in their rules of conduct. But their reasons for not standing are good reasons and they are peacefull. I will take peaceful every day over having any incident like North Carolina or Baltimore ever again. While I don't think they are good reasons, I fully support the last statement about taking a peaceful protest over the riots

My biggest problem is the hypocrisy being shown over the issue.

When the Cowboys wanted to protest in honor of the 5 cops shot dead during the BLM rally, the league shut them down. When players wanted to put stickers on their helmet to protest in honor of 9/11, the league said no. When players wanted to do such to bring awareness for domestic violence and breast cancer (outside of the few games they wear pink), the league said no. When Tebow was kneeling for prayer, he got a lot of grief while in the NFL...he's in the minor league baseball and is still catching it over it.

I'm a Scotch-Irish Libertarian who leans Right and a Constitutionalist. I believe it's their right to kneel as their freedom of speech, but they are also employees whose boss can dictate if that's allowed I think...either way, while it is peaceful, it is also divisive or we wouldn't be even having this conversation.

Lastly, while this thread should prob be moved, it is creating some activity here in General.

So much this. This is the new way of the primarily left controlled media, and PC nature of society. This protest is basically about black/minority rights so it's being allowed/defended, while the other ones you listed have the black/minority as the culprits or just not defending them so the league shuts them down.

Are you racially profiled based on the color of your skin?
Is there numerous groups that want to eradicate you from the face of the earth?
Are you treated differently because of what you look like?
When going to job interviews, are you asked the most demeaning questions because they assume everyone of your race is the same?
Are you taught to be afraid of police because even if you are peaceful, they won't be?

This has to be your dumbest post yet GE. Your being racially insensitive. But based on your comment I guess that's just how you are and nothing is gonna change that. Especially if your born down south. No offense, but southerners are the most ignorant when it comes to colored people. Especially since the confederate flag still waves down there all over the place and in your face.

The kneeling isn't about the vets, tbh the vets that are upset just feel like the attention isn't on them. You can fight for a country's freedom all you want, but the vets who are extremely outraged just show how arrogant are. Just because your fighting for freedom doesn't mean that the nation is free. Oppression is real. Police officers have started to fuck up by pulling over more famous black people and harassing them without realizing who they are. More people are starting to listen.

It's not even limited to the blacks. Muslims & hispanics deal with this shit too. I love vets, I have them all over my family. But those who get their panties in a bunch over this aren't being anything more than self centered

LOL...I'm not even gonna respond to this post. I think every person on earth should be treated equally.

As for the narrative of this entire issue, it is a liberal driven agenda from the start, drummed up by the far left. Kap is just another pawn in the game. The NFL got in bed with the very high up Liberals. They are taking over our world and country. You will see in the next few years how much our country and world will change....and it won't be for the better. There is a sinister agenda at work here guys. Go do some research.

That is all I am going to say....

You want research’s bd proven facts. If you don’t see the facts in your every day life then please tell me where you live so I can move there and my family doesn’t have to see anything of such. But where I grew up and anywhere I have ever visited it is this way. Most people still follow schema and stereotypes when they first see a person

I go to work every day with blacks, whites, Indians, asians, hispanics and we all get along (unless you aren't doing your job). Never see any fights breaking out over the curry between Whitey and Ahmed.

The liberal media makes up stereo types and fans the flames. There is a great unseen agenda behind the Main Stream Media.

Same here. My work is a big family made up of all kinds.

To the liberal media everything is black/white, gay/straight, male/female. Just constantly stirring the pot trying to separate everyone and pit them against each other. I really don't understand what exactly they are trying to accomplish or what their end game is. It is cancerous for everyone involved. Why can't we all just be people?

People assume just because Obama was black, his role in office was just to make black lives better. He actually cared about everyone. I also think people forget is mixed and he was actually raised by the white side of his family. He faced his own share of racial problems and his mom never sugarcoated him about it. She went about it the right way, which is why he ended up level headed. Also, can't forget the fact that they really didn't want to pass anything he brought to congress.

The main topic was military. Like I said, it's the arrogant ones getting upset and I only say this because a large amount of military are fine with the fact that it's peaceful. When things are getting done nonviolently it seems that's when the people have the most to say.

Honestly, i don't expect white people to ever fully understand what minority's go through. That's ok. That's not the problem. No one cares if they do. We care about the insensitivity. No ones kneeling to "disrespect" anything. They kneel to demonstrate that not all the things stated are true, therefore one cannot truly stand up for something that doesn't represent them.

You guys can go around acting like racism isn't a big thing in the states these days. It is. News flash, everyone knows it. There are literally foreigners who are baffled at the fact that so many white Americans can act like nothing is wrong. The US lets things sit around and fester until it becomes necessary for something to be done (I.e, the conditions of school systems and prisons).

There's nothing to say to each other that'll really change our minds on this situation. But hayrow, your being all deny, deny, deny and I'm really trying to figure out what your problem is. The only group that would want to kill you is a terrorist organization and that's not even because of skin color, they want to kill all Americans so.

The racist shit is always on the news, don't think of them as isolated events. And stop pardoning racist people who get caught at racist rally's but say they aren't. It's bullshit

So instead of leaving it at Indian, you decided to say Ahmed. Disappointing. And pure white americans cant cook so there would need to break out in a fight, their food tastes like shit

Also, just getting this out there, but if you still support trump at this stage of the game then I gotta say that I'm not extremely disappointed in you. Trump is smarter than people realize and honestly, I think he just says shit to rile everyone up... I mean considering the fact he says one thing and yet does another. I honestly think he's just saying this stuff to bring awareness to the people and be the bad guy as well. Unfortunately, he's also riling up the racists. Before it was actually a great campaign strategy. However, they're expecting things now and they're acting like they run shit. I do think he's sexist and I do think he's racist to a degree, but that's the typical 1% stuff. Obama's immigration policy didn't really stop crime amongst the Latino community me the same offenders often just got recycled through the system. Plus it really is unfair for them to just come across the border while every other immigrant has to go through the visa process. Pence was a piss poor running mate as well.

Idk how I feel about Trump atm honestly. He's clearly bat shit crazy, but he does stir up controversy and which is good. He let loose the wrong fan group though.

Neither side is going to suddenly change their opinion because of a well worded GLB2 post. It's kind of a waste of time. We can all agree to disagree. The thread can go on for 50 pages and won't accomplish anything.

First amendment bud. It's like a double edged sword. I can use it to defend my freedom of speech, but the triple k and neo's get to do their cult shit still
