for pirates this season before Rob came in to our league it felt dead. I LOVE competition and when it feels like there isnt much to look forward to when playing a CPU its a bit discouraging. If they dont do this idea they need to at least condense the leagues slightly more so more agent owners are together.

Next seasons rookie will be stacked. The higher you go, the less teams and more consolidation of leagues.

I'm glad that S25 Rookie is looking good.

What if it was a completely separate league. Everyone gets 2 free players for the league. If you can auto draft for fantasy football, you could set up an autodraft here. Players enter their players into the draft, then owners get x days to rank them or allow the sim to pick for them. Owners would not be able to build a team based on predetermined builds. Instead they would be forced to build a gameplan based on the team they were able to draft. It would imo drastically level the playing field for newer players. In this league, resetting would not be an option and once a player is drafted he's in till vet. If he goes inactive, cpu takes over and randomly assigns points at the end of the season. You would need to lower the cost of ownership in this league. I think it would be fun.

I think it would be cool if they just started letting us pup a bunch of players up to veteran and those players were then put into an auto draft. The more players the more teams available for agents to own. No recruiting, you get what you get. Your players go where they go. You can't do anything for anyone else's team. Only your own.

Would have to work on the specifics of how glb makes money from more than just owning a team but there needs to be a bigger player base and it would be nice if everyone was kinda on a similar level so not to spread the herd.

Bumping because rookie teams definitely need a new influx of players. Give everyone one free draft player slot and I think it could be interesting.

We did drafts in GLB1 all the time. They were user organized and worked pretty well. The only problem we had was waiting for owners to make their picks. We just had to make their picks for them based on the position and build they wanted.

This could work in Legend.

I like the idea... But what if someone drafted one of your players that you made for your team...

There should be 2 Player options:
Enter the Draft
or
Enter Free Agency

another thing is tho this would be great for Senior/Legend Leagues...this would also be nice for Rookie Leagues

Why draft though is what I'm saying in rookie? Your drafting the theory of the agents building prowess and not really the player itself as there is essentially no build yet.

The new updates made to Accelerated Player Development this season does help with players initial start build

Helps but still isn't really applicable to a draft.

I'd prove a draft would be awesome here but I just don't have the free time to do it...Even in real drafts its a crap shoot anyway...I never thought I would say this again but I have 2 words, Leaf and Ware

I don't disagree with a fun draft in like veteran rank. You have a feel for good players. I actually wish the game was partly skill in building but also some blind luck so even tho me and some other dude had a similar build maybe he had a better luck player. That's what would make a draft around here fun. Players who are weirdly great.

What you are talking about is a mindless draft that takes a lot of time to operate for what exactly? Nothing. Unless it's automated and those players are stuck with that team all season.

Here's how we did it back in the day.

There was an external site we used to do the actual draft.
