Really depends on team. If an offense depends on speed, then they're nerfed quite a bit when their speed HB & WRs are slowed. Defensively, the same can happen to defenders who rely on speed to close down, or pass rush. SP like Sprinting/Quickness is so costly, that the builds basically have far less of an advantage on speed, and don't have the overall skill to match non-speed based builds on the opposing team.

Conversely....power builds aren't hurt all that much in any weather condition. Sure, really hot weather "may" drain their conditioning faster in theory and they're a bti slower, but haven't seen evidence of any significant impact there, and really we just get a few games in that weather at the beginning of the season anyway. The passing game is hurt with windy days and rain, though TE centric teams aren't impacted nearly as much. The two current dominant metas of having a S* powerback and S* TE are fairly safe bets, but if you diverge away from that and try something different, you're a bit out of luck when it comes to weather. Defensively, good luck when your speed DL or LBs can't get close to the QB in the snow.

So it all comes back to game balance. Homefield seems like the perfect solution. If a team is like the Warner/Faulk Rams, then they can pick a dome, if they're like the 85' Bears, then they can have snow a region. Teams would actually have to show up for non-playoff games, and seeding would matter. Best of all, you lessen the randomness of this game.....which is already too random with RNG.

Ok...so tell me exactly how playing in a dome, which has ZERO FREAKING PENALTIES, can penalize a team??? Playing in the snow benefits teams with high mental skills and kills teams with high physicals. Playing in a dome does not benefit any team....BECAUSE THERE ARE NO BUFFS/NERFS TO ANY SKILLS!

How is this so hard to understand???

Let me guess....2 + 2 = 5

Do you understand the word comparatively?

We aren't talking about going from no weather, to no weather. So we must compare what we have (weather) to what you are suggesting (dome/no weather). Who do you think playing in the snow benefits more, offense or defense? It has to be one. So if a team builds their players to take advantage of playing in the snow, it would then hurt them to not have to play in the snow compared to those teams that didn't use SP to counter the snow....RIGHT!?!?!

You just listed playing in the snow benefits teams with high mental skills, so if someone built their team knowing that, wouldn't playing in a dome for every championship game be penalizing that team?

Yes, but that is not the point of the thread. The point of the thread is to make playoffs more fair for all teams, not just ones who build specifically to play in snow in the playoffs.

No, the point of this thread was for you to request making the playoffs easier for YOUR team. Radomizing weather or making it flip/flop, or using home field is making it more fair for all teams. Switching from always snow/winter weather to always dome is the same thing, just the other end of the spectrum.
