Yes, but you would still be spending more SPs than you should on most skills.

Here's the only S* SS I've made. I had no complaints.

Keep in mind I was the D.C. for him mostly and wasn't all that good.

That's because he was a turnover monster, the fact that he got anal raped in coverage is still there however

Very true. And it's not like I scrimped on coverage skills. Think would need more deflection to stop it. Not sure you can and still be solid vs the run.

My first S*SS... only ran one season at vet because I was behind on the conditioning meta.

My current build is just a rookie so hopefully its a big improvement.

This is why you don't pick slow build, 13k more skill points without slow build, yeah you have lower caps, but with slow build you don't have enough points to max these higher caps.

Ok, no Slow build. Thank you for the images McLovin. I'll go tech route. I'll try and build an S*S that way.

You can still get high power tackle, gold monster hit and some intimidation with Superstar, workhorse and dreadnought. With 3 stamina you can still get conditioning to 81 if you cap boost 3 times to conditioning.

I agree with GE on this. Don't need a crazy amount to get some FF on receivers who tend to not focus grip much. As far as power backs you will never get his power high enough to matter and still be able to defend pass. Better to go high tech with 50-60 power to pop some loose on receivers IMO.

This should also leave you enough to be able to invest enough in pass D to at least make a few stops on the S* TEs you will also be matched up against. Don't neglect consistency if you want to be able make key stops here I think.

Sigh. Never push the right button when I want to edit 🤓
