I have LB builds without EB that have 3 skills at or near 100, and they aren't minned out everywhere else. So I'm sticking with useless in this context.

As I said, I can see a use for EB on CBs, but that has nothing to do with getting 2 skills at or near 100 and everything to do with the fact that pretty much all skills are relatively cheap SP wise on CBs and, at the same time, caps are pretty hard to get high, so a perfect storm for EB use (although I still run out of SP before I would like to).

Ya, but the 3 skills you have are well built within the traits to do so.

Fwiw with the results we are seeing up to mid journeyman, it makes sense why the traits aren't better matched up to produce such a build.

That probably has a lot more to do with your play calling and opposition than the build.

I would call an elite runner someone with 90+ conditioning, 90+ PR/ER or sprinting, and 80+ toughness if a power runner, sprinting if an elusive runner or 70+ quickness if a physicals runner.

I would call a good passer (not elite, because that wasn't the original question) someone with 80+ tech and con, 65+ accuracy, 45+ power and some points left over for awareness, conditioning, heart and leadership.

The only real overlap skill there is conditioning.

That build is simply not possible. Which means, imo, you would do better to either build a pure running or pure passing QB.

Fair enough. Don't know what you are up to, but I'm not a huge fan of extreme min/maxing on defense.

I don't quite get how a player's build makes them elite. To me, it's what they can actually produce in-game that's important. If you have a QB that passes as well as the pure passers, and runs as well as the top rushers...that seems to be elite on both accounts.

I generally am not either but if the production works I might be able to produce a ridiculous zone defense and St unit all in one.

You can do all of that if you sacrifice a lot of Quickness (70+ is icing on the cake anyway imo), plus lower those passing numbers some.

Central's S* QB will be something along those lines, with gold Tuck and Run included. We'll see how that looks down the road.

Actually footwork is 45 and consistency is 86. His consistency is most important because most passes will probably come on 3rd down. Or late in the game or half.

So you are gonna have a scrambling qb that only scrambles in crucial tines of the game when you need to go 10+ yards for a first or 70 yards for a td?

I will throw in some designed runs too. Something like 30% pass, so he could scramble there, and 20% designed runs. HB runs the other 50% with the goal line runs about 40%.

What's his end Carry & Pocket awareness? For Tuck & Run/OTR, you'll need both really high. Footwork should also be 60+ by end build. You definitely don't need Tech/Acc/Cons near the 80s either.

Ya but designed runs don't use tuck and run

The scrambling QB's I messed with were built to throw first and then run if they were in trouble... so I had like 70/70/70 tech/accc/const... I think 70 pocket... and then speed might have been 50 with gold OTR and gold T&R, I just could never get them on human teams to see howd theyd work in a legit offense so I gave up on the idea.

I always thought those stats would have done well for his role in the offense to basically throw when needed and take off when in trouble.
