I don't remember them changing this at all until they said "making pressure/consistency better". Did they actually nerf pressure/consistency in the off season?

- Max velocity now has less effect on acceleration
- Footwork and elusiveness now modify initial break tackle rolls for indirect hits
- Morale gravitation effect reduced significantly
-- However, under pressure situations, effect is greatly increased
- Increased effects of pressure/consistency to be more impactful

and then...

- Dialed back pressure/consistency effects on catching and throwing passes a bit (other elements related to pressure/consistency still full effect)

Maybe they should dial it back a little more...

Quite frankly, good question. My guess would be because Xars made a convincing suggestion on how to bring heart back into the game. Unfortunately, the devs didn't really think it through.

Pressure effects the run game a little bit in that I have noticed a material difference in 3rd down blocking if block con is not invested in (which hurts inside running more). But the defense has def con, so they can also suck in return. But it is clearly mostly a passing mechanic as there is no such thing as carrying consistency.

It pisses me off because just like glb1 there will be a fine balance of morale and then it just gets completely fucked up.

On top of that they doubly nerfed our power wr because he's now worse at catching, slower on cuts, and fumbles at a high amount because he is the one wr on the field who can stay up right long enough to fumble. *Sigh*

Yeah, blame me.

Seriously, low Heart doesn't seem to effect rushing HBs at all yet it does effect receiving WRs&TEs. That's a game balance problem. Still it means receivers need Heart investment which is typically lacking in Rookie/Soph builds. Personally, I think it's good that receivers need Heart investment. What's not good is that it's not needed by rushers. And, as bhall points out, ruins rushing orientated WRs.

I'm also glad they reduced the gravitation effect. It allowed way too many low Heart builds in the game. Just like there were high Conditioning builds, there should have been a benefit to high Heart investment and there wasn't. Perhaps now there will be.

Though they do need to figure out how to modify the running game with low Morale. My vote is to increase the turnovers significantly.

I didn't blame you. Pretty sure I blamed the devs.

Reading.

I made a thread here that would benefit from this discussion. A lot of good points you all have made and such:

Sorry if I hate looking through a bunch of useless sims because you threw on a tinfoil hat and claimed Passing is amazing now. The 2 scrims I have now watched including yours and a rookie POS scrim have been completely inconclusive on anything considering any past knowledge of scrims or real games the teams included have played. But I guess I am the only one actually looking so carry on.
