No sweat. If you ever have questions be sure to ask them. Nothing worse for the game than losing agents due to builds and/or game plans later in their team tiers. Need to keep more guys around and most everybody is very helpful here in the forums. Many people are willing to share their opinions to help others and hopefully help them stick around for the long haul!

I used to play long ago... My main issue was how much money I had to invest to figure out all the mistakes I was making before doing a build where I wouldn't waste points on something that looks "cool" in theory but doesn't work in the sim at all...

edit : Also, this game works better for min/maxing, and I'm more of a well rounded kind of guy. I'm pretty sure I'll get frustrated with Fairy Tail's performances before the season is over and will throw my keyboard into the computer screen. lol

I actually enjoyed y playing with theory type builds when I think of them. I do use them in conjunction with known good skills when I do most of the time though. Having a quality defensive plan is by far the most important thing. Then a quality offensive game plan. After those two things though it is builds that separate teams. Some builds can crush other quality game plans though if your builds are just far superior in whatever ways and if you find something special that others have not fully embraced yet.

True, I should hire a def coordinator who knows what they are doing, albeit my defense has been holding it's own in all the pre-season scrims... Hopefully my gameplan holds up for some more games lol

Question is unrelated with the thread, but I've seen some teams with 1-10 human players with the rest being CPU. Am I wasting too much flex on my team or will the fact that all my players are human pay off eventually? (not that those teams can't hire human players down the road too).

Defensive game planning takes the most time and if done right is changing for games based on the opposing offensive tendencies. Time put in to defensive game planning is the largest determining factor with getting wins IMO.

Human owned players are FAR superior to CPU players. If you want to cut down on some flex though you can recruit some other agents during the offseason. Sometimes teams fold leaving a good chunk of players willing to play elsewhere and continue their player careers.

My line of thinking is flawed in this regard, I'm building my def around a concept and I'll let it dictate games. I'm not good enough to gameplan on game to game basis anyway (or rather I lack the patience/time to do so). Which lead us back to :

I obviously spent too much money on this game, I can now field a whole team, boost it for some more seasons without having to pay any cash... I'm just gonna burn through my flex bank and enjoy the bitterness of my foreseeable failures.

edit : If my team seems to have potential then, I'm probably gonna hire people tho.

Builds and game plans go hand in hand. When I was doing OC work before creating BSB I was having mixed success and thought that my game plans just may not have been up to snuff despite running many of the same quality plays. I thought the problem was within my tactics possibly. I later found that my BSB builds were all quality builds as I gave specific guidelines to my guys the first run through Vet and my playbook so we're doing just fine with proper builds. It all makes a difference for sure. Ask to bring in some vet agent(s) to evaluate your player builds and play calling. There are people willing to do that and it could prevent issues down the road in some form or fashion whether it is builds, plays being called or the situations that you are running them. Or you can go the keyboard smashing route. LOL

The first thing I will hear is "all your players lack Speed and/or Strength, fold it and restart" more then likely :/

If that is the case and you want to stay in the tier then recruit people to fill spots. Maybe rebuild a few (even if they are only a game or two behind you can "catch up" in the offseason). Plan for the long haul!

As much as I sound negative, I wanna see if my d&d background can overcome this min/maxing fad people have here for once lol. My only real concern is sinking too many pts in worthless stuff like strip tech tho. I figure that the data sample would tell me the picture better if I build a whole well rounded team by myself... I'd be pretty happy if I ever win a playoff game lol

Bottom line, I'm only here to burn my flex bank, figured that since I spent a fuckton of money on this ting, I should just make the most out of it...
