TA's S* DT..working on a new record for DT hurries. I don't think the build is open, so here are the highlights:

PRT 87
BRB 89
FW 75
Sprint 55
Cond 51
Tack Tech/Power/Grip 73/54/46

What stands out to me is his 31 PD (though in just this Vet season). What is his PRD, Blitz Aw and Vert?

I think he trained up PRD and Vert in this last offseason, so it's hard to say how much of the 31 PD is due to that vs. randomness. But they're really nothing special, so probably some good luck. He's also 6'8", which may or may not make a difference beyond changing the cost of skills.

29 PRD
60 Blitz Awr
25 Vert

It's probably more of a benefit from being in the QB'S face all day.

I feel like out of all defensive positions, DTs need the least investment into tackling. Well I mean coverage corners too. DTs can disrupt the ball carrier but just always seem to get more missed tackles. Maybe it's because at the beginning of the play rbs have higher conditioning and are more apt at breaking tackles. Who knows.

Anyways. I don't build DTs to be tackling beasts because they'll be at a big disadvantage somewhere else. I build them to get through the line and disrupt a play, slowing the rb enough for the safeties and lbs.

D-linemen do indeed miss a ton of tackles. I think it has to do with momentum. They don't get as much momentum as LB's or safeties. So I try not to judge them based on missed tackles.

Sure you can add more tackling and SA's to them and it helps but you have to decide at what cost. They will still miss tackles at a higher rate than players at other positions with similar skills. Keep in mind that missed tackles go up significantly in higher tiers. So if you reset to rookie every other season you won't have a full grasp of it. I'm with GoGetta. I like them to break blocks and disrupt the HB. They don't have to make the tackle to significantly alter the play.

I'm interested to see how my S* DTs do in Vet. They are built the same and wil have 90+ brb, prt and silver brick wall and monster hit with decent tackling skills.

I'm hoping for the 2 DTs to stop the middle run in my 4-4 outside run defense.

Galactic, if you don't mind, I'd love to hear how that goes. Could you add me?
