GG Sharktopi, Special Teams FTW! Two KR for TDs? and the last one was the go-ahead score with less than 2 mins in fourth! I'm so proud of my boys for making me look good enough for a raise... sniff, I, I could almost laugh all the way to the bank... Uh, I mean cry with pride... (They didn't record that did they?)

GG!
It was a good defensive gameplan, a little surprised how well it worked at times. I was also foolishly believing that this time, one of my teams would tackle powerbacks better in JMan. Apparently I was wrong.

Horrible? blasphemy!
Defense wins championships.
One of the best low scoring games I ever watched was in '95 when Michigan beat Purdue 5-0 in a driving snowstorm. Also the '08 game between Miss St and Auburn that ended 3-2 (Auburn winner)

I was at that MState Auburn game...that was not a good game...at all.
I am likely in the minority in that I prefer games to be defensive struggles (duh, I played SS/FS and sometimes speed rushing DE). Sure, high scoring games can be exciting as there is "more action", but I prefer to see 2 great defenses doing their jobs and keeping the score low. That said, it doesn't mean I like to see 90% or better rushes up the middle or anything, just stout defenses beating the hell out of their opposing offenses.
Oh I've seen good defensive games, that's not what Mississippi State/Auburn was. That was inept offenses and pitiful special teams mixed with above average to good defenses.
Can't remember if '08 was before Suh or not, but Auburn's D is typically pretty damn good overall. MSU's D surprised me though as they were pretty much middle of the pack in the SEC and not dominant.
For the record, I didn't actually mean that the AU/MSU game was one of the best (but I didn't make that clear), but I did appreciate the defenses shutting out their opponent pretty much.
Oh yeah, that was before Suh. And I know...I was just at that game and it was miserable. Now the 2007 season at Mississippi State was all defense winning games for Mississippi State and low score games. I enjoyed that season.
I wish I could go back in time and watch Michigan's "point-a-minute" team in 1900 or 1901. They scored over 500 points that season while shutting out EVERY opponent.
