I was thinking more pass rush power + TV.

It's a longer path to the QB than the DE already has. You can build a 100 sprint LB that comes in unblocked on every play and the QB will still avoid the sack most of the time if they have the right plays and that's not even accounting for a LB that has to break a block.

Yep.

PRP to activate TV isn't necessarily a waste. But it's not going to do anything for an LB blowing up a blocker. If the LB gets a revcake, cool I guess, but the QB has already thrown the ball.

Quite frankly, I don't know why more people don't put just a little bit of PBA on their HBs. You don't need any actual blocking skill. Just enough awareness to get in the way of the LB will completely neutralize him. You could take Toughness to neutralize the morale hits for revcakes, which will also be more useful in the rest of your HBs game and a hell of a lot cheaper than blocking skills.

Yeah, Destro will be demoralizing the RBs with revcakes.

That isn't as important as it once was. The old sim changes from 6-7ish seasons ago have made demoralizing opponents not as useful. A lot of RB's now are also running with very high conditioning, so the energy hit won't be as severe.

Also, let's cut to the chase, what can Destro's max speed possibly be, with cap boosters?

Say you had a LB that was going to blitz every play, or almost every play-- so you built him more like a DE than like a regular LB, including Spin Cycle?

He wouldn't be my cup of tea to coach or to build, but couldn't a LB like that work as a really great blitzing LB, who'd often get much easier matchups to beat the block of than a DE gets, as the O-line would be busy blocking the actual D-linemen?

I have a Blitzing LB on M.A.D. (a team where we were told to build the worst possible dots) and I chose to do the OLB with PRT/PRP & hell even deflect. He is open now and you can see the results. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/164958 Have a good laugh. Somehow Makntak gets this team a few wins each season.

Quick = 94; Sprint = 83. I think quick is more important than most of you. And 73 power tackle with silver Monster Hit.

95+ Speed, 30 PRP and Gold TV, + Gold FS.
I'm fairly certain that to really make an impact at Vet as a blitzing LB that's a necessary combo.

Also Strip tech and Silver opportunist, or silver showboat is where its at. Strip Tech is more effective at FF's IMO than Power Tackling is with equal investment

100 sprinting or go home. Also need very high snap reaction.

Need a lot of expensive quickness for First Step.

Opportunist is almost never going to fire as you need an assist, so unless the DE breaks through as well, total waste of AP.

I just did a build for what i'm talking about:

tackling tech: 56
quick: 100
sprint: 100
PRP: 47
diving: 80
cond: 71
tough: 48
snap: 86

Gold: FS, TV, Showboat

edit: added PRP

How much PRP?

Also, would rather have Snap at 100 (assuming you have cap space) and diving less than 80.

i edited to add it, it was 47.

Didn't have the cap for 100 snap, I used all 3 boosters on cond instead of snap. I like diving on a pure blitzer to really extend his radius and help launch for the QB.
