The reason you don't see as many drops in double coverage is because you see more "Failed to secure" rolls. Contested catches don't even reach the "catch or drop" roll a lot of the time.
In a wide open scenario you aren't facing a catch in traffic roll and therefore only get a catch or drop. Due to this you will actually see more drops because you only have 2 possible options.

we need better stats. should have a targets, receptions, drops, failed to secure, and deflected/intercepted.

well I have 90 in speed, and it is never enugh or my guys to get open. even vs much much slower WRs. 60-70 is more than enough if you are wide open.
