He had to pick up his jock strap.

This seems more in the direction some have been advocating for seasons. The more a defense sees a play the more the start to adapt and the play becomes less effective.

Absolutely and about time. I wish they would roll this change out to every kind of play, maybe alternating if pursuit or awareness type skills come into play depending on the play type.

my analysis...of DA. The counters are still effective. The ran the ball 52 times and still avg 5 a carry. We had about 20 TFL on them. But they were still able to get their big runs here and there. Just no homerun hitters. But the effect was cumulative, combine that with their passing attack it made it very tough to stop.

I am sure build and chemistry plays a role in all of this as well. But the play is still pretty good if you ask me.

If defenders can now slide to a side of the field in anticipation, we may not be far from play action? That's an addition that would actually excite users... Or just new plays. There's still time bertdog.

just thinking about how bad they would fuck up play action makes me giggle.

These guys just remove plays if they cant fix them, wtf would make them think they can attempt something like play action.

5 ypc dramatically different than 12ypc - so definitely seems to be an improvement. I did watch that game - and memory says you ran almost exclusively cover 3 tiger. Will be interesting to see what other D plays look like against heavy counter Os.

I also ran 2 DE Flats. which seem to hurt a little because the secondary wold get to the spot and wait for the ball carrier.

Overall, pretty happy with these changes.

- Chemistry will fill up a bit quicker during the first 2 game "weeks"
- Chemistry checks for snap fumbles, etc are now easier to pass
- Reduced chemistry effect a little bit in general
- Improved “easy going” trait chemistry bonus from 10% to 20%

So that only took 14 seasons... About time. So much for "only a 5%" penalty. This changelog confirms what agents have been saying for seasons, that chemistry is more than just a skill penalty. It plays into things like snap fumbles, etc.

- Defenders can now “sniff out” misdirection on counter plays and slide to the real play side instead (pursuit skill rolls). Their ability to make the read increases the more often counter plays are run in the game

Great change. Instead of the diversity bonus, I wish they had done this for all play types.

I skimmed the game, but it appeared that defenders aren't getting faked nearly as bad as last season.

Hope?

I for one would pitch a tent if they added play action. It would help this game soooo much more realistic. Especially if defenders keyed on the run the more you run the ball then BAM the middle of the field is wide open.

I'm happy with the chem changes and hopefully we found the right balance with counters now.

I don't remember that happening last season? He got faked by the counter while being past the LOS. That definitely shouldn't happen.

Yeah, because passes to the TE in the middle of the field are so weak right now.
