With the exception of the one run heavy drive after we scored. BB woke up and just stuffed the run down our throats. I was shocked that BB went run after run after BSB took the lead but it worked for that drive and definitely worked in spots.

yeah to be exact, i planned for around 20 total outside runs and we ended up with 40 or whatever, way more than i expected. tactics always seem to be a little shaky whenever it comes to pass/run balance, but for the most part our blocking/run game seemed better than it has in the past since adding the new run block OT and HBs - aside from the fact that your strong side DE was shredding blocks left and right still lol. def gives us a bit more versatility on offense at least

GG Animal Kingdom. My defense actually held up pretty well. Our tackling sucks, but that's well known.

But our offense couldn't move.

Very good game. We have struggled to move the ball the last couple games, or maybe we are just trying to put up a false
front lol. Im not real sure i just run the defense ,which has been fairly solid. Makes the games interesting to watch when it's all defense. Maybe we will see y'all again this season.

I'm busy working my ass off in the Valley so my GLB2 attention span is near zero.

Though it wouldn't matter for tomorrow.

Rob is going to abuse Counters (like he should) and DA is going to crush LogZilla.

Here's to hoping I don't care in the end because I'm cashing a fat VC check!

I really think the running and passing are getting more balanced than most are giving credit for. When you put a good running team up against a defense that can play there are very "Normal" results. I would love to see where the counter's are OP on legitimate teams. I'm just not seeing those stats and the team is made to run them with fast guards, etc. (Maybe we aren't spamming them enough?)

Counters are deadliest on teams that can also throw the ball.

Need to implement challenges next season --

defender is clearly out of bounds (and before that was on the line for sure without possession of the ball)

GG diddy. literally at a loss for words for our amount of missed tackles and whatever caused that last drive to be 8 outside rush attempts in a row when all of my late trailing tactics are 100% pass. went right down to the wire tho so gg for sure

like playing DA, I expect tossup games against Bronx as long as both are in Vet... very similar styles on both sides of the ball

I would have preferred to see a cleaner game... 7 turnovers combined. Both teams could have played better.

Vet is wide open this season. So many good teams and nobody that sticks out as heavy favorites. Who will finish #1?

Prime Contenders
Hawaii - Newcomer to vet, but a powerhouse all the way up the ladder. The previous incarnation managed to get a #1 trophy at vet back in season 7. Plus they have already beat MEM and Central.

Animal Kingdom - Another newcomer. They have already knocked off BSB, Hostile and Madison. Can they continue to win with an inconsistent offense? Big game against Hawaii in a few days.

DA - Less roster turnover this season, off to a better start.

Madison - Contenders every season and already knocked off Bronx and DA.

DD - Finished last season strong and climbed all the way to #2 at the end. They also feature a solid zone defense that will create problems for most teams that don't know what plays will work against it.

MEM - Probably the best run defense in the tier and a very strong rushing attack. Finished at #5 last season.

Bronx Bombers - Last season's #1 team and the only team to ever go undefeated and they did it twice.

Logzilla Boys - Finished last season at #3 overall and held the #1 spot for quite a while. Can the pure passing attack thrive in the current sim? I have my doubts.

Other teams with an outside shot but off to slow starts are Central, BSB and Whoville. I also see Robot Lords at #7 right now but I can't buy on them yet.

My predicted finish

#1 - Bronx
#2 - DA
#3 - Madison
#4 - DD
#5 - Hawaii

Fairforevers preseason prediction of the top 5 (+6 others mentioned) without a mention of Madison, did light a bit of fire here

I had Hawaii in my top 5 preseason, and I still think Central will pull it together and can be top 5 end of season... DA and Richmond had done that in past seasons, and everyone is aware of the talent there

Animal Kingdom has been a bit surprising... we'll see how they do the next few games. Much like MeM (with the new sim changes), GA a few seasons ago, and Hawaii way back in the day... their style pinpoints our weakness at Madison.

Don't underestimate AK. Been in the same league as them since rookie. I dunno what they do, but they always win the big games.
