At 52 speed there's not much to accelerate to.

Flip the quickness/speed around. 52 quickness and 70 speed and you've got something cooking.

70 quickness and 52 speed just does not make sense on a WR.

Ya but not 90 pw run. You have to be fast enough to single yourself out in coverage and break away. If you break a tackle but still sit among 2-3 defenders it's pretty useless and can lead to fumbles.

Flip the Sprinting and Quickness values and you might have something.... I dont see any point in giving a WR more Quickness than Sprinting though.

Yeah, I mean First Step SA increases max running speed by 8%. 8% of 52 speed is still nothing. At that point I wouldn't even bother with First Step.

This. Not much since it isn't even powering any of your sa's and you will be slow as hell.

He doesn't need speed when he is running over fools. Plus the CB will be so demoralized from being pancaked and being thrown off trying to tackle.

No first step. He will catch the pass, not fall down by passing balance checks (65 balance + gold CIT) and instantly break the tackle (Gold stiff arm + gold YAC + 69 power run). He might not score but he will zap the energy and morale from the CB, leading to more pancakes when running outside to the weak side.

Going to bet his lack of momentum and low catching skill will not end well for you. I've had 3 different power receivers like you suggest and they were fairly garbage. I had given up on the experiment until hillman revitalized my opinion on it with a different view of how to do it.

I like the idea, but you can save a crap ton of SP by not taking quickness to 70. Seems worthless in your current build.

The rest of your receivers should have around the same speed as this guy, you don't want them stealing targets. I recommend shorter routes, and avoid passing on 3rd and long. 52 speed is pretty slow, your offense will start struggling when blitzers get gold first step and the d-line has gold spin cycle. So you can't pass in situations where the QB needs to wait for the WR to either a) hit his break or b) pass the 1st down line.

Was he also a blocker? I will still run ~65 of the time.

At the bare minimum, these two need to be a crap ton higher. He'll be slow, with no head fake, no first step (not that you should get either unless you add 30 to his speed). He won't be getting open...he'll need those two skills to be a lot higher.

Starscream (slot) will have 90+ quick and speed I think. He will run the deep routes while Beastman (S* power WR) will be 1WR and run short and underneath routes. 2WR will be run blocker. Lots of curls and quick slants for Beastman.

Interesting set up. Super prone to being shut down by defenses keying in on formation tendencies. Since Beastman will be WR1 exclusively, and asked to do what he's doing, he'll need A LOT of conditioning and toughness.

Honestly...I recommend a S* TE. It'll be really tough passing the ball when you only have 1 real option in each formation. Beastman is a great idea, but TE's are hard to build (just check out the disaster FSM is running with), and TE's that can both block and catch well have to be S*. You should think about scrapping Beastman (or making him non-S* and living with what you get), in order to add more consistency to your passing attack via a TE.

I'm rolling with 3 TEs so I can skimp on conditionIing for higher skills. One TE will be very fast.

Running a very balanced attack.
