and why the merge of the threads. Mine has nothing to do with jamz bullshit

I merged cause both are basic GLB1 vs GLB2.

Agree your initial post is better than Jamz.

tbh most of the players I know from GLB1 are in GLB2. And I was one of the original Season 1 players, just missed the Alpha testing phases. The epitome of GLB1 is cookie cutter systems. Are there flaws in GLB2, yes. Are there flaws in GLB1, yes. For me its a lesser of 2 evils, better visuals and frankly GLB2 has more potential than GLB1 as its a demons that can't be fixed as its a fundamental system problem.

wrong, my post was inviting GLB2 guys to GLB classic.

The same shit that has been done on the GLB classic forum since GLB2's anal birth

Your post devolved into GLB1 vs GLB2. I didn't delete it. I merged it with the other GLB1 vs GLB2 thread.

Stobie, you may be right about the demons.
However, the thought of cookie cutter systems is not 100% correct. The fact that Bort stopped doing anything for GLB has made it more cookie cutter, but different teams have excelled in different ways. Some are all rush, some are all pass, some have a great blend of the 2.
And if by better visuals you mean Techmo Bowl instead of dots, well the 80's need there graphics back.

ok, got it

Thats what i'm saying (I know this wasn't aimed at me). I was there from season 2, was on Mike Rogers initial London Monarchs team, owned a team for 5-6 seasons and then the preparation for a game took hours and frankly i don't have the time or inclination to spend hours setting tactics & custom playbooks and faffing around with equipment. When things like advanced EQ came in i left (along with hoards of others). Then GLB 2 came out, rookie players worked, tactics & playbooks took a few minutes and a build is never totally broken (without seriously trying). For me 2 meets what i want from an online game, 1/Classic would mean divorce and no job for me

go away.

we don't need a guy who's teams are 8-8 and 6-10 telling us how great GLB1 is. Most of us left GLB1 for good specific reasons - I think you'd be better off soliciting help here with your crappy teams there.

I like his assertion that because we choose not to play GLB1 that must mean we were not good at it.

Ok, I'll stop feeding the troll now

I don't remember you at all, funny how that works when you post on 2 different forums. I actually had a lot of suggestions that went into that game. I remember Staz's old Vet Ability thread. I'm going to go look for it. Some of my suggestions even made it into this game

well if you that bad at it that you never made it past reg pro, you probably did never know who I was.

I also left shortly after magical equipment and boring training were introduced.

If you posted in the main forums, I probably knew who you were. I've just forgotten, honestly if your posting quality there was anything like it is here then it's no wonder I have no clue who you are, and I'm likely not the only one.

It's laughable when you say the 80's need their graphics back because frankly the 70's pong need their dots back

Every time I think of going to GLB1 I cringe in the amount of effort it takes to frankly do anything and not be relevant until the end. I do miss the advanced tactics/playbooks, but I sacrifice having those for the building of players in GLB2.

I have just as much right to post here as you do bud.
and that would be 8-8 in WL and a lolfarm team that was 6-10. There are what are considered great owners that long to be 8-8 in WL and some that long to just make it there.
What help could you give me?
