How have you felt about Surge on him? I always found that to be the most interesting SA choice you made for him.

That's interesting. His broken tackle per play rate isn't as good as Reggie Wilson even factoring in Reggie's ST carries, and he's got higher Elusive Running and Balance(significantly). Where are you at on SAs with him?

Perhaps Reggie's just got much stronger energy/morale capability and thus plays at a higher level longer into individual plays and games as a whole?

He's using every SA that allows him to escape a tackle, no ball control SA's at all.
Gold Spin, Silver Juke/Stiff Arm. (just got gold Juke after this last game's SA point).
Sitting at 54 Conditioning /49 Toughness right now.
Quickness 55, Footwork 62, Speed 79, Carry Awareness 85 (for Stiff Arm).

This HB was kind of a test, to see how Elusive I could make an Elusive HB, when compared to the power of a Power back. So far I'm not impressed at all.

I don't like it too much for effectiveness...but it does look cool when it fires.

not worth it imo

Man, I'm really interested to see how he pans out now. I'd definitely agree on getting more conditioning with his final cap booster.

That's kinda how I've felt about it too. Feel the same way about Grinder. Too situational, debatable value compared to some other more consistent SAs.

Right now he's at 100 Elusive and 77 Balance.

No wonder my guys were struggling to tackle him.

Some of that dealt with being too elusive near the sideline. I wonder how well he'd do if you sprinkled in more Off Tackle.

Part of the problem with doing the inside stuff is he doesn't have the Power Back tangibles (carry grip (50)/toughness/conditioning) to be effective inside. He'll get hit way too much and likely up his fumbles a lot, as well as being drained of morale and energy. I have off-tackles in the mix that are called now and then, and while I get lucky once in a while it's far better odds going outside.

This is also (selfishly) why I've always complained about HBs going out of bounds way too easy as well (be it from Spin, Juke, or otherwise just running out). Wonder what would happened if I upped his carry style to power... if he'd stay in more.

I know for a fact that Combo is better than going with elusive or slippery in any event.

The simple answer to your question is no.

we used a lot of inside runs on D'Hara with our stud S* Elusive back and he broke major runs all the time. I'd open it up for him, you could be pleasantly surprised

Yeah, I start to have some serious problems with inside runs by elusive backs against Ground Assault as the game wears on. Reggie Wilson just becomes untouchable as my players get too fooled to even attempt a tackle.

Aeir, maybe you could set some inside runs on Trailing tactics or something. By the time Trailing as kicked in, maybe the defense will be worn down enough to let your elusive backs survive?
