Also Hefeweissen is overrated.

I hope you talk about the team, not the beer. Ever drank a Paulaner or Erdinger? After some Sports, there isnt anything better to Drink!

Hefeweissen is pretty damn good. I prefer some Belgian beers but have no issues with Hef at all!

Was that 20 years ago? I mean, simply from the incredibly strict (and archaic) requirements that German brewers have to abide by, US beers have greater freedom for taste.

Now, it was 7 years ago

Well, lets be honest. 90% of what americans brew wouldnt count as beer over here, due to the Reinheitsgebot

"Bud" for example...thats no beer. thats flavoured water

That's a good thing, not a bad thing. German beers are good, but you can't possibly get the variation you can in the US.

Bud and others like it are good if you know you're going to be drinking for a loooong time. Such as say, tailgating. Bud, Miller, Yuengling, etc are your average mass market beers. It's the same in just about every country. The prime example of flavored water is MGD 64. Only way to get it down to 64 calories at that point is if you drop the alcohol content. It's basically non-alcoholic.

There are so many good beers in the US, and the variety of these beers is nuts.

Aeir's team Milwaukee Beers could be in reference to Lakefront Brewery. I wish Wisconsin beers exported out of the state, they've got some really good ones.

Look, American beers. Pretty sure the first beer outside the United States is down at like #20. Over 100 American beers that score higher than the top German beer.

Not really a beer you find anywhere when going out. Unless you happen to be at like an Old Chicago and doing to the beer tasting challenge.
