Actually above test was flawed. I'm now running it to call Long Pass defenses in short yard situations in the normal tactics. I've added a Long defensive play to the playbook, but left in the goalline calling Inside Rush and Zone for the goalline tactic section. If we get long pass defenses in the all sets minus goalline and just inside rush defenses in the goalline formation then we will know for sure.

Another question: Why have I never had a problem getting Cat Blitz called when the only plays in my GL defense had been Cat Blitz itself and Zero LB Dogs?

My zone inputs for down and distances were all 0, but my vs. Opp goal line zone pct was set to a % and I usually had seen cat blitz fire about the % of times I had set it to?

Did you have the same tactics for 3rd and very short and goal line?

I did the first test, the one I'm running now has them different.

Not really sure, but if it was pulling from Normal tactics and those tactics weren't calling for a Short Man Blitz or a Short Zone Blitz then it would just be selecting at random.

2nd Test got lucky and it poped up on the first drive. If it wasn't pulling from the Goalline section it would have called a long defense. So, normal down and distance it calls from normal tactics. For plays in the Goalline where yards to go =< the number you set it calls from the Goalline section.
