Backfield routes that don't cross the LOS are just garbage. You can cull 2/3 of the entire passing playbook just based on that one rule alone. Can't afford to risk your QB targeting one of those terrible routes when the HB isn't held in to block. They're a wasted down at best. It's usually much worse though and you catch it for a TFL.
That play isn't in there for the FB/HB route obviously.
