The best way I have found to beat a S* power back is to wait until the team he is on resets and he moves out of your division

In all honesty the best defenses to stop run and deal with non air raid teams is to build the front 7 as pure run stoppers and build your secondary to stop the pass. Your lbs are there just to be bodies in passing lanes to force the qbs to look elsewhere.

I'm resetting next year. I've learned what I need to learn from this team and will be implementing them into my zone defense, including creating specialized defenders. I have too many combo builds that will get destroyed in the upper tiers. It is impossible to build combo coverage/run stuffers/tacklers for LBs/CBs. I already have Empire Strikes Back spec'd out. I will be rolling with 23 defenders..that's right 23, including 2 S*.

3 DTs
4 DEs
6 LBs..including Vader S*
7 CBs
1 S* SS...Boba Fett
2 FSs

Try to pass against it? It will be shut down with defections, INTs and knocked loose.

Try to run against it? Break the block + Death Grip + Monster Hit....BOOM!

I will build the best damn zone defense the GLB2 Galaxy has ever seen!

you've already basically succeeded at that, but it's still not a good defense. The "best damn zone defense" is the equivalent to the smartest kid on the short bus

I'm tempted to ask for a roster spot just to have front row seats haha

Nothing personal but I am rolling with all my dots. Several reasons like total control, don't have to worry about people leaving, etc... Besides, you can watch the "train wreck" play out.

Obviously I am going with an all-run offense since I cannot diversify with only 18 spots on offense.

Just being facetious. Curious to see how it plays out.

Damn...trying to spec out an O Lineman these days is ridiculous. Rolling with a S* pulling guard with my 50 pointer. End build with 55 power blocking....he will be fast though.

Going with Gold First Step. Anybody done this?

It works ok. You just need to make your pulling guys fast enough in comparison to your HB. So if you go power HB you can go less speed. If you have an elusive speedster you damn well better have 65+ speed.

Hmmm....his speed isnt very high but his quickness is 70, which triggers first step. Plus Pulling Special SA should fire alot giving +12 to sprint and quickness. High sprinting sucks cause I need to put in more speed attributes. Maybe Ill lower balance and footwork. Im thinking footwork is fairly important to pulling guards? They need to sidestep to pull away from the line?
