Ground Assault is as close as you're going to get. You need to save S*'s for the secondary.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster/1046 close as you'll get without screwing over your actual defense

Works great against Goalline, jk

With the right builds, it can. Salty just pummeled my pretty beastly rQB with it last scrim.

Why would someone put a CB in deep zone against a Goalline offense?

It cost the first down here.

Also what kind of Zone Awareness this guy have? He needs an hour to understand it's a run.

It was slotted to be a tackle for loss. Not sure why you are mad at the play. And it took almost no-time for him to react. No defender makes a decision to switch into pursuit mode until the brall is transferred to a ball carrier.

that's a TFL if the FS doesn't suck at tackling.

I know it could have went way better for the defense if LDE or DT broke the play early or if the FS didn't got his tackle broke but if the CB was in man coverage the defense would have done better, well 95% of the time atleast.

About the reaction time, after watching it again it's not really slow indeed, but he needs to go from backpedaling to "normal" running and it made me think that, once again if he was in man coverage this play wouldn't have been the same, he would have started closer to LOS and he wouldn't be backpedalling that much resulting in him reaching the HB 2 second sooner and slowing him down before he reach first down line.

which CB are you even talking about? The blitzer on the strong side, or the zone CB on the weak side? If you're talking about the zone CB, he helped save that play. If he was in man coverage, he would've gotten caught up in traffic, slowed down to a crawl, and never even been in the play to slow the RB down.

With good pursuit I believe he would have been able to dodge the trenches.

Technically, that's me since I run the D, but hey it's why you do pre-season scrims.

Using it as a pass rush formation with a heavy dose of Spin cycle exactly where you want it.
