I'm going on the assumption those teams have been scratched off their list due to the "no rematches" rule Corndog put in a couple seasons ago.

I love the ladder for just about every position - but it seems so broken in the top 10.

I'm in close to the same position - just a matter of time before the stunners draw QC since we are currently 13 and they are only going to have 5 or 6 potential opponents (right?)

Everyone posting here is concerned that the ladder doesn't determine the who the best team is, when we asked about that a few seasons ago most of the replies were something to the effect of "it isn't supposed to, it is just supposed to give us competitive matchups."

With the "no rematches" rule Galithor referenced everyone is playing each other once anyway, I still don't see why we just don't have a world league to solve the issue of no best team being crowned. We all know Air Raid and Hawaii are the best teams this season, wouldn't it be sick if we were talking about how they were the top two seeds heading into a playoff bracket right now instead of getting the ladder to do something it wasn't made to do?

Based on who they've played so far, and who they have left in league play, their potential ladder target list looks like this:

Air Raid
Glasgow
Detroit
Minnesota
Mongolian
Legacy
Dookie
Stark
Ministry
Seneca

Which, of course, can change if other teams move in and out towards the bottom of that list. There's 8 ladder games remaining. So yeah, there's a very good chance they'll face Minnesota before the season ends since ya'll aren't likely to drop off the target list otherwise.

I still love the idea of some kind of an end of season ladder tourney. I don't know if it would have 4 teams (lolncaa) or 8 or 16 or 20 or 32 -- but it would be AWESOME.

I'm sure time is the major factor as bort and corndog wouldn't want a large chunk of the player base sitting out twiddling their thumbs..but ya

Tournaments on 3rd day or off day for end of season. During season player ran tournament potential without trying to use the scrimmage feature to set it up.

The tournament stuff they had planned can hopefully move back towards the front of the development list now that Mighty Brawlers is launched.

I hope so. At the same time though - I'd like to see the ladder change (especially at the top -- or maybe even only in the top 25 or something) be "no more than 3 times" -- rather than "only one time".


Could be fun to occasionally have a best of 3 series with someone.

Others teams could still play ladder games as well throughout the tourny. Start the tourny about 4 or 5 ladder games before the last ladder game of the season. If you lose, play other teams that aren't in the tourny the rest of the season.

the tournament system was going to be independent of the ladder. You'd get both. That was the original plan for the off days built into the schedule right now. Those were going to be tournament days.

I'm trying to picture a game every day -- yikes.

but would still be fun.


One interesting thing this season I've noticed -- when your league game sims is pretty HUGE (at least for me). Previously we played at 8am and that was awesome.

Now I play at 10pm and it sucks balls -- kind of sucks the fun out of those days and really feels more like 2 full days off

If another WL debacle is started I am out. I actually like seeing different opponents all season. If you guys want to circle jerk each other at the top thats great I guess but that is boring as fuck to me at this point and half the reason I stopped giving a shit about GLB1.
