My question is, does conditioning have more to play than we know? Obviously first kick wouldn't be effected but how much conditioning really does a kicker need? Rob's build shows perfectly that there is essentially a missing element we haven't tapped into. Balance? Footwork? Are those at the minimums keeping a ceiling on kicker performances? Add 20 balance and do percentages go up, thus raising the ceiling of potential?

Just starting to raise his range as I start to hit FG power. Pretty much nothing longer than 45 yarders for him.

He is a superstar and has no points invested towards kicking off, so this is about as extreme accuracy kicker you can get. I would expect the elite kicker to make more than this. 90% would be nice to see with 100 accuracy and 80% with 90 accuracy.


Last two season this kicker has only missed once on field goals lower than 38 yards. Which leads me to believe people are valuing accuracy a bit too much.

What is his secondaries look like, balance etc...

Ty tezed this also helps me to believe people are pumping too much accuracy and then trying to nail these 45+ field goals constantly that its skewing the data.

Thats the thing though, most kickers are sitting at like 60-70 power which isnt that much when you think about it. Need some data from a guy with like 90 power and like 60-80 accuracy.

Yep. I feel like people's FG ranges are the problem with the data. Most high accuracy kickers can't hit 50 yarders consistently (except superstars or end builds), and most balanced kickers can't hit inside 45 as consistently.

So... here is where I think things get a little weird.

Only 8/27 kickers were +45 yards. Majority were under 45 so...

boogie mens FGK has just under 90 in accuracy and power but he also has gold Streaky so that would skew the data.

As I started working on FG power, he started missing 40+ yarder like crazy, the ones he was reliably able to make a season ago. His kicking stats have been mediocre since then.

Here are some key stats

Rookie : 35/53 : 61.4%, 40+ yarder 3/9 : 33.3%
Sophom: 44/56 : 78.6%, 40+ yarder 14/24:58.3%
Season : 37/40 : 92.5%, 40+ yarder 14/16:87.5%
Journe : 40/53 : 75.5%, 40+ yarder 13/24:54.2%
Profes : 14/18 : 77.8%, 40+ yarder 5/8 : 62.6%

I wouldn't be surprised if theres a missing category we havn't figured out yet, does anyone have a K with atleast somewhat high footwork?
