sort of .. it's a combination of things
1) cost of the game is too much for some of us
2) now that we really have an idea how to build our guys better (we built these guys either as our first dots or our second about 2 weeks after we started) we don't want to start over with a new team or something .. it's just so grim in the lower levels of skill
3) fatigue from our two coordinators - I'm not terribly good and I wind up having to run a lot of scrimmages to get the depth charts working and the plays called and then on top of that the plays that actually work etc. I've spent a staggering amount of time and cost through the past 4 seasons and I think Sieg has as well and now we are stuck with a really mediocre QB (built to thrive in the meta for 3 seasons ago) and a line that isn't particularly good at any one thing etc. and it's a lot of work to make that work out. versatility is its own weapon but it requires a lot of fiddling as you are aware given your team's laydown
4) I have a minor interest in seeing if the offense I've been doing for the cat herders will translate well - but geez it's hard to get excited about it for me especially if we lose have our team to agents quitting and chemistry murders us. If Sieg quits our offense will be cratered by chemistry and then i'm paying to lose for a year and then having to buy another year to be have a shot.
as I'm sure you know we've tanked the crap out of our recent games to set up as much confusion for you as possible (i suspect you did the same in our meaningless last game) - we're going to give it our best shot and you'll get our very best. No telling if we can take andes even if we do get past you but we'll give it a go. you guys will earn anything you get off us
