If it decided division winner first (and separately) then Dakota (and Warsaw/MCM's record against them) should have nothing to do with the calculation.

Taurus league:
Alpha:
1 Battle Creek Mayhem 11-3-0
2 The Simpsons 11-3-0
Beta:
1 Whoville Whos 11-3-0
Gamma:
1 TT's Constellation Superstars 12-2-0
2 Runaway Bay Wolfpack 11-3-0
TT claims Gamma and the #1 seed.
Whoville claims Beta and the #2? seed.
BCM claims Alpha and the #3? seed.
Runaway Bay Wolfpack claim the wildcard... somehow.
The Simpsons lost the division tie-breaker on losses to BCM, but they won the H2H against Wolfpack, so one would imagine that they would have taken the wildcard. Turns out, "coin flips won/lost" is the tiebreaker.

The last couple of seasons all ties were broken at the same time (not division first, then wildcard) and a 3+team-interdivision-tie always skipped the H2H. So you would get Battle Creek, Simpsons and Wolfpack in one tie breaking situation with the best two advancing.
Points allowed:
Simpsons: 99
Wolfpack: 114
Battle Creek: 126
Under what I assumed 24 hours ago, that would make GLB-sense. Not real sense, but what you could expect from GLB...

Except simpsons were the team that didnt get a playoff spot. Maybe what you assumed wasn't correct but it just happened to match up to all the examples you looked at until now. I really doubt they tweaked anything tiebreaker wise this season.

Only commonality I see between Simpsons, Alpine, and Dakota is we were all higher ladder ranked than the team that got in.... maybe we got hit with an "underperformance" tiebreaker

To be honest, I'm just angry that this RQB took MVP from my passing QB. Fuck the Simpsons.

I won't hook thread because its posted already in my suggestion but strictly points isn't a great system since it rewards already weaker divisions (again I have no issue with MCM and Warsaw making it.. but just in general). - IE if you have a CPU team in your division you are likely to shut them out twice a season and score a ton of points.
Points for and points against were swapped in GLB Classic because of all the 255-0 games. It was decided points against was the lesser of two evils if a team gutted mid-season. The logic from Classic was ported to GLB2. The problem, though, is that GLB2 has 3 divisions while GLB Classic decided tie-breakers in a much cleaner single division format.

I reached this point a couple hours ago. I had several posts just like yours that I either edited or just closed out because it made no sense.

if they are gonna use points scored/allowed/differential, it should only be in the H2H games of the 2 teams in question not over the whole league schedule. When it's 3 teams with different amounts of games played between them, theres really no clean way I can think of doing it besides deciding the divison winners separately then doing a tiebreak for the teams left tied for a wildcard.

If we only knew the tiebreaker order... Not like it needs to be a super secret anyways...
I get the whole player skill secrecy... but playoff tiebreakers? c'mon
Most of us just want to figure out if it's working correctly, because right now it does seem an awful lot like a "coin flip".
