In real football you can make changes on the fly or "real time." Don't get me wrong, you guys had a great gameplan, in throwing to your TE 30 times (the same as you did the last time we played you). You guys are a really good team and there is no other team on the planet I respect more. It's just, you know.

I'm just sayin', we've been throwing to our TE as much as possible all season, he and our QB are the only superstars on our defense. Had I not fixed our goalline defense you guys would've exploited that as well. I respect the shit out of you guys too, and Philly, and Drinkin, and DC, and hell, even Alliance earned some respect this season.

It really isn't your TE and QB as much as it is the exploit plays. Don't get me wrong, your team is really good and I would lay down in the mud so you wouldn't have to clean your shoes. If the Con men were dirty I would clean every player with my tongue, then apologize for not having a towel to dry them off with. It's just, you know.

to be fair I was exploiting the fact that you ran cover 2 vs goal line and left the middle of the field wide open. I could of driven a truck through that. However since I know you like to abuse your tight end im going to give dreg the key to stopping it, just ask galithor what happened to Air Raid's tightend last time he faced one of my defenses in a ladder

yeah...just to give you an idea of how infrequently I gameplan, the goalline defense was still set from last season when we were trying to defend QB rollout teams in ladder games

The TE can be stopped. It's difficult to keep them from getting a really high reception % (and requires some luck), but you can discourage the targets enough with good playcalling selection. Anytime you let Compton go for 25+ targets to the TE, you're going to have a bad day on defense. Hold the TE to 15 or fewer targets, much better day on defense.

Teams have done it successful against both Air Raid and Compton, as USC's pointed out. It's no secret with my offense that you're better off encouraging the QB to target WRs that are covered by CBs better built to handle the job.
