Coming into this, I knew it would take a few seasons for my builds and master plan to come to fruition. The Galactic Empire will never lose confidence. The Imperial Forces will prevail, bring home many trophies and end up at the top of the ladder when the smoke clears!

Sounds like a great argument for recruiting S*'s at LOLB and SS.

Sounds familiar....

Well Defense certainly needs more plays and formations to choose from. I'll make a post in the suggestion forum.

What might be a good idea is giving defense 3 check boxes in the tactics section. 1 run focused (defense keys in on the run at the cost of pass cover, boost to run stopping skills and reduction of pass stopping skills) 2. Pass focused which again is the same as 1 but with pass instead and 3 balanced which gives no bonus or penalty

not a bad idea...

for example, the small bonuses being something like +2 to everyones pursuit, tackling, break run block if run... +2 to deflecting, cov tech, and break pass block if pass

it would be a small change, but somewhere to start

there was a similar deal in GLB1 that impacted your vision +/-. You could pick run/pass/none. Picking run or pass would buff "awareness" for that type of defense, but nerf it for the other. It was an individual player thing.

If they chose to do it here, I'd definitely prefer it be a team tactic. Though I dunno if it's necessary. If we're talking bonuses so small, folks might as well just "fix their builds".

I'd like for there to be more player based tactics in this game. A bonus for defenders, if you do some scouting, wouldn't be a bad idea.

I just realized something watching the absolutely bullshit game vs the squirrels today, the solution might be something we all overlooked. Morale penalties for tackling and blocking interactions are too high, think about it 90% of these teams dont really burst out till the later quarters of the game. Just look at the andes game, perfect game plan called, held them to 3 points all half. Next 2 quarters we couldn't tackle or break or hold a block defensively at all. Stam and morale penalties for tackling and run blocking skills need to be tweak so defenders dont just become useless. Even morale spiraled cbs hold up better in pass coverage than morale spiraled lbs can tackle.

well wouldn't really say that it has less effect on CB's in pass coverage it's just as bad

I see similar things sometimes (not always) -
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/105223
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/104409

but could be:
- conditioning
- heart
- second wind
- intimidation
- pancakes piling up
- toughness

Right?

Look at the Jacksonville vs Philly game last week. Jacksonville is red hot (thanks in part to the real life RNG) - and then Philly storms back to win.

and get toughness if you got issues with tackling and run blocking moral losses

I'd also just add (since I've never looked)

How much Morale and Stam are lost during a tackle (tackling...or getting tackled both)

How much morale and stam are lost during an blocking interaction?

In both cases - what are intim levels / power tackling levels / toughness / etc?

If someone has done those studies (I haven't) - I've not seen them in the forums.

heres a game vs Air Raid 2 seasons back (last timw i could find where a passing team morale spiraled someone) http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64238/818716 coverage holds up pretty well for the most part. now this is before the moral spiral http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/105228/1079547 manages to beat the safety with 82 power tackling and 57 tech, trucks the poor cb who had it coming, and this is the best part: trucks the 77 power tackling lb who proced monster hit. Now this wasnt even a moral spiraled play this was just stupid period. honestly if you watch the game its stupid http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/105228 held to 3 points first half come into the 3rd with full morale and all of a sudden we just randomly collapse? I was wrong about assuming it was a morale spiral (watching from my ipad when i first posted) but they broke 31 total tackles this game with only 12 of those being cbs. every one of our lbs have at least 70 tackling tech or 70 power tackling and they have at least 50 in stat that isnt at 70. All my safeties have at least 60 in tackling tech or power and my strong safeties have 82 and 96 respectively. Andes was built to tackle and yet they broke tackles at an absurd rate

well not exactly, I guess posting all 3 main tackling skills would clear it up (tech, power, grip) lb 1: 72, 49, 63. Lb 2: 71, 46, 63. lb 3: 53, 77, 49. Lb 4: 76, 40, 47. Lb 5: 50, 89, 19 (primarily a pass rusher). heres the numbers for our safeties. SS 1: 47, 96, 30. SS 2: 57,, 82, 31. FS 1: 60, 44, 44. FS 2 70, 23, 37. The numbers are pretty solid across the board safeties could use more grip is the biggest argument you could make
