this play made our DC go nuts - damn salty would not die

Crazy. I just watched the game to the end and on the final play Salty's defense is running a play called WR Screen Strong...is there a defensive play called WR Screen Strong?

the plays used against kneel's are always weird.

Except cross your fingers for offseason changes to either make CBs deflect when on top of the receiver, or not have safeties run the WRs route in front of them and (if somewhat fast) never get a chance at the ball.

I think it's interesting 3 Deep man up and man base end up looking really similar against WR unders, and those WR2 and WR4s still come down with it a decent amount, nothing you can really do about it besides use it yourself.

That happens all the time. When a team is kneeling, the D's listed play call is often an offense play. I've seen HB Sweep Strong, Qb Rollout Strong, 4 WR's UNder, etc.

The Boogie Men narrowly take the Neon League trophy in a battle of FG kickers over the mighty Doges. Great defensive game that came down to the wire.

It's been a month since Maine has beaten a top 10 team, not sure if xav was there for that but Maine just seems like they're fading away. Reminds me of Murder City pre-merge, except with the cares. Would like to see them back up there though.

I think Xav can be forgiven after help winning 2 championships today to have a breather ; )

The biggest challenge I've had with Maine is that it's not my defense. My guys on Lost Lounge and Yorick are built to fit roles, and while I don't micromanage builds (because who has time for that), I do give a lot of guidance on the skills that would best help the team going forward.

But on Maine, I was given all these players that didn't fit anything I knew that worked. But I managed to come up with stuff that did pretty well until our offensive coordinator went poof. And even then, we were still a better defense this season than last right up until the point where journeyman OC's finally caught on to the new meta (seriously, what took y'all so long? The seasoned teams like Lost Lounge, Salty, and Air Raid had it figured out almost from the start of the season.) At that point, well, being a DC is more akin to being a speed bump than anything that actually stops the other team.

There is also the fact I've never coached a team that didn't make the championship

unless he ran the offense for LL I am not sure we can say he helped anything in that game.

Not sure what you mean by similar but they definitely aren't covering it the same.

I have been completely hit and miss. The playoffs have been great for SF in coverage imo. SOA and MEM were held in check pretty well. Providence however against Rusty had me throw my hands in the air and then this mornings LL/DADDY game was just a whatever lets move on to next season plz.
