Finally some new ladder match ups (for some of you)

#1 Stunners vs #2 Yorick's - two solid running teams collide...will one of them bust out the passing game they've been secretly nurturing for the last 2 seasons? Doubtful. This is the first meeting of these two teams in a game that counts - who wins? Your guess is as good as mine. I know when we scrimmed in the past - I was very impressed with their players -- they broke blocks like nobodies business and it was very hard to win a 1 vs 1.


#3 Victorious Secret vs #133 (Seasoned) Asbury Park Blue Bishops (14-14) - What is the best time to draw a team that is a season ahead of you skill point wise? When their season is already over of course. Victorious will win this one easily.


#4 Nebrasksa vs #7 Rhode Island - let's see...Nebraska has spent almost their whole league and ladder season battling top running teams...Now they face a top passing team. Good luck Nebraska! I predict Rhode Island wins a close one.


#5 D'Haran vs #11 Drinkin - D'Haran's league season is over - so they'll have plenty of time to devote to stopping Drinkin. I predict Drinkin doesn't quite find enough to stop D'haran - and D'Haran wins a close one


#6 Alpine vs # 12 Dryden Blue BALLS - Alpine's passing game is clicking on all cylinders as they just knocked off D'Haran. Dryden's Ouija board is clicking on all cylinders as they just upset Victorious Secret with the middle overload defense. I predict: A lot of hurries and a lot of sacks -- and Dryden wins in an upset.


#8 Tampa Bay vs #10 Philadelphia - Afraid I don't know much about these teams. I'll go with the favorite - TB by 7


#9 Compton vs #15 Baby Banger - Compton wins.

Of course, if Yorick was going forward after this season, I'd actually have to think seriously about adding one since our QB's are capping their running skills and need to spend points somewhere. Add in the fact our HB's have outran the QB's a few times this season, and experiment in a QB-based running team has obviously run it's course, and it didn't need any ill-conceived and untested nerfs from Corny to make it happen.

Well if you're folding anyway - go ahead and play everyone out of position for me and throw every down will you?

I'd kinda like Yorick to go out on top...so nope.

Maybe a compromise. You play a pass-only offense, and I'll play my FS's at CB and my CB's at FS to max out the Maizehound's shiny new extra OOP penalties for my coverage, and my LB's at DE and DE's sit on bench and eat pizza which should do a fantastic job of killing my pass rush.

Ya. GG.

My offense struggled early which left my defense on the field way too much and then we kinda fell apart.

I was pretty nervous seeing the way your D Line absolutely MANHANDLED my o-line the first couple of series...my guys were getting insta-pancaked and your D was blowing up plays that seemed like they were going to be set up nicely.

That continued as the game went on - but I agree - your O struggling put your D in a bad spot.

Plays like that are why most teams can't run on my D.

But, if my offense goes nowhere, the D gets tired, then plays start happening, they start losing morale, and that's a wrap.
